« This property was perfectly located to the beach, exceptionally clean and well maintained. We went in October so it was a slower season. We loved it… you could open the door and hear the crash of the waves. Beach access was simple and just across the street. Town is walkable for the most part. During busy season, you probably just want walk most of the time. Everyone was very friendly and will be back. »

« This is the 2nd time we stayed at this awesome cottage over New Year's holiday and it was stupendous again! This time, we thoroughly enjoyed the updated kitchen - plenty of counter space, cabinet space, and it was fully stocked with essentials. King bed in the MBR facing water with great ocean views and sounds of the waves all day and night! Big dining space facing the water allowed meals to be enjoyed overlooking serenity. Plenty of clean towels and laundry is inside cottage so no need to...

« The home was inviting. We enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to know of construction going on next door. That was a bit of an inconvenience because of the noise so early in the mornings...vacations we tend to like to sleep in a little later than normal.. We loved the sleepy town feeling of the island. We would choose to stay here in the future once the construction is finished. »

« This cottage was perfect for our family vacation! Cathy was an amazing host and very communicative. The cottage had all the amenities and things we needed. From towels and linens to central AC, internet, and paper products. Short walk to the beach with our two children and lots of places to eat nearby. The beach was peaceful and the boardwalk across the street was amazing for watching the sun go down. Our kids even loved the outdoor shower. Would highly recommend!! »

« We enjoyed this house and the location. It was reasonably spacious, very clean and not overburdened with beach-themed tchotchkes. One particular episode to note: the kitchen sink faucet broke during our stay and the Carolina Retreats personnel were very helpful finding a plumber on short notice to replace it. Everyone was gracious and efficient and we want to note our appreciation. »

« We loved the house. Perfect for us. Beachfront. It was exactly what we needed and the rooms were perfect for all of us. Would definitely stay here again. The owners responded quickly with everything, even when we had a little issue with the air conditioning, they got someone out asap. Very quickly. Location was perfect. We love this house. Would highly recommend. »

« Immaculate property - we had a varsity soccer team play in the area and stay the weekend for a memorable experience for the lads. The house has every comfort and security needed to have a great/safe time at the beach with a family or group. No detail left unnoticed from the aility to adjust the thermostat to safety treads on the wooden stairs. Ryan and Kelly are top shelf hosts, and this is the first place I will check when coming to the area. »
