« Accueil sympathique et rapide. Hôtel propre et en super bon état. La chambre était spacieuse et bien équipée (frigo, micro-ondes, bouilloire, plaque de cuisson, lave linge). Le personnel à l'accueil a toujours été très agréable et disponible. Nous avons stationné notre voiture dans le parking couvert qui est juste en face de l'hôtel (prix préférentiels en passant par l'hôtel). Emplacement vraiment super. »

![This is the interior of one of the finest timber churches in New Zealand, and is a testament to various people who helped save it.

St Paul's Church (as it was called) was finished and consecrated in 1866, built to a design by Rev Frederick Thatcher.  It served as the parish church for the suburb of Thorndon and as the Wellington Cathedral until the 1960's when a new modern cathedral was built.  Once the new cathedral was finished it was proposed to demolish this church, but growing public protest led to the NZ Government purchasing the property and placing it under the umbrella of the NZ Historic Places Trust. It was restored and reopened to the public in 1970
