"I would not stay downtown Portland again. My car had 2 windows smashed and the contents in my car were stolen. I spoke with the staff at the Hampton Inn & Suites and they said it happens 2-3 times a week. We left after the first night and forfeited our 2nd night. I would appreciate a refund for the second night of our stay. Thank you, David"

"Excellent location. We were attending a soccer game at Providence Park, only 8 blocks away. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Tavern was convenient to catch a light lunch. Very polite staff. "

"Everything was great except for the free parking. The lot is extremely narrow parallel parking. Have to back out. and when doing this at night I backed into a black metal stairway that had no safety curb and it blew out my back window and damaged the rear hatch. Had to then drive 3 hours home instead of staying due to safety of my vehicle. "

"Very old building, you could hear the toilet flush from all other units, dusty vents, do not recommend "

"Great hotel! Nice restaurant and the staff go above and beyond. Although if you want a chance at becoming a member and redeeming your points just book directly through their website. They don't allow you to collect points from booking on third-party websites :) "

"The lobby appeared clean, but once we got to the room, did not appear anyone had cleaned the floors. There were dirty dishes in the cupboards and silverware still in dishwasher. In morning at breakfast, a homeless lady wandered around the breakfast area. Staff was able to get her to leave, but it made us very uncomfortable experiencing that with our two young children. We checked out after one night."

"Almost perfect. Wish there was a mini fridge and a microwave in the rooms.Even cheap motels provide them. $7 for a bottle of water? "

"Room was excellent and if you aren't traveling with pets they will put you on a top floor. The rooms were very nicely furnished and loved the mini bar with very fair prices. The staff was incredibly friendly especially the valet! The hotel does have a $30/day amenities credit, but you get $15 towards the restaurant as part of that. In a great location ideal for shows at the Arlene Schwartz theater. Will definitely stay here again. "
