"We loved this house! Truly one of the best stocked (laundry detergent, cooking supplies, soap, beach chairs, cook books, blankets, etc) and thoughtful rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We’re a family of four with two young kids and the house was great. The screened in porch was great as a kids play area and for meals. The air conditioner worked great. We loved the very thoughtful and detailed Duck/OBX guide on the coffee table!"

"Great place to stay with kids, even in peak season it wasn't over crowded, all the other guests were pleasant and respectful, the location is perfect if you have kids of varies ages as there is a lot to do for all ages. No one was ever bored. Close to shopping dinning, quick, easy walk to the beach. You can see the ocean and parts of the pool from the back balcony and the parking area and tennis courts from the 2nd balcony on the "front" of the unit. It was PERFECT for our large family with 2 separate "adult" rooms and a great double bunk room for the kids. One flight of stairs to the parking which was not bad at all. Corner unit. The AC worked excellent, the only 3 things I would change would be the railing is still having issues which is pretty serious and I am sure not exclusive to this unit- the deck spindles were only made with what looks like 3 inch trim nails so they are pulling out which is super dangerous with the deck being so high. We made sure to keep the kids away from it. Plastic chairs on the deck just need replacing and the dryer had to run twice to dry thoroughly but what an absolute blessing to have a washer and dryer on site. The master bathroom exhaust didn't work but again, the AC was so good, it didn't matter. The place was clean and tidy and there were some beach toys a chair and an umbrella to use.Overall we would definitely stay again- I dont know who is responsible for the deck repairs but every spindle needs to be screwed instead of nailed."

"What a wonderful week our family of ten had in this beautiful home! There are so many perks to staying here. First, the location is great. Incredible ocean views from the top two levels. There is a gate from the pool area to the walkway to the beach making access literally steps away. Yes, there is a decline down to the shore ( and it course an incline coming back to the residence) which was a bit of a challenge for me as I am recovering from ankle surgery 5 months ago. But not too difficult as I enjoyed the beach every day which was never too crowded. We loved this area of Duck as well as shops and restaurants are an easy quick drive. Second, the home itself is so very spacious and roomy for all of us. My husband and I, along with our two adult daughters and spouses had nice king bedrooms , each with en-suite big bathrooms and a veranda to enjoy the ocean view. Our grandchildren ranged in age from ten to two and a half. The older three stayed in the twin bunk bed room on the bottom level where they not only had their own en-suite bathroom but there is a powder room on that level as well that they used. The kitchenette was great as we put cereal and snacks down there along with drinks in the fridge that they could help themselves to during the day. It was perfect that the combo pool / ping pong table and the theater are on that level too which gave them plenty to do. The mid level provides perfect accommodations for not only our adult children but we set up the pack and play in the third Queen bedroom which had its own bathroom for our littlest grandson. Everyone had their own space . My husband and I had the top level king en-suite ( with huge jacuzzi tub) that had handy access to the main living areas. While our room had no balcony and faced the sound side ( which really has no view other than houses and a street)- all we had to do was wander toward the kitchen to be greeted every morning with a beautiful sunrise pouring thru the all glass windows with expansive ocean views. Nothing like grabbing my cup of tea and heading out to the comfy seats on the top level veranda to enjoy the quiet morning breeze. The kitchen was amply equipped and the table ( although I am not a high top fan) provided the right amount of seating for our family of ten , along with the wrap around sectional recliner sofa set in the living room area. Next, we loved having our own pool and hot tub that everyone enjoyed. Several reclining lounge chairs ( great for sitting up and reading - not so much for sunbathing on one's tummy) and a handful of other Adirondack type chairs gave good seating in the pool area. Finally - I can't tell you how much we appreciated the elevator… especially me after my recent ankle surgery that occurred a few months after we had booked this lovely home. Whether it was hauling all our luggage and supplies both when arriving and leaving, or taking laundry baskets down to the bottom level to do our wash ( in a nice big laundry room btw) this elevator was the epitome of Convenience. It is a beautifully decorated home and served all our needs to have such a great week in OBX. That said- just a few very minor complaints. The kitchen really needs to be stocked with more silverware. There was barely enough for our group for each meal let alone on a daily basis. We were always washing forks before we could eat! Also- more kitchen linens are needed- there was literally only one dishcloth and a few teatowels, along with one oven mitt and several potholders . For larger groups that this lovely home can accommodate there should be more. Other than that- we were very satisfied with all the amenities in the kitchen- ample pots and pans, appliances, etc., Upon our arrival we noticed a couple small issues ( a GFI outlet not working and a recliner seat that was broken) that were immediately addressed ( very impressive as it was a Sunday) Overall , we loved our stay and would book again - so thankful that your home became our home for a short sweet week now filled with wonderful memories!"

"The property was immaculate. It was well supplied with kitchen items needed, along with helpful extras such a spices, trash bags, etc. Easy communication with host. Lots of beach items, such as chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, kids sand play toys. Grill worked well. Very pretty setting among large trees. Top floor family room, sunroom and kitchen area were comfortable and functional, with cable TV that worked well. Very nice stay."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of the best properties my family has stayed at in the past several years we've been visiting OBX. My grandson even said it was his favorite house so far. Waking up in the morning was a treat to relax on the watch tower and see views of the ocean and feeling the relaxing breeze. The house had many nice added touches like a hammock and hammock chairs to relax in, a sofa by the pool, and the decks. There were board games and the tvs came equipped. The kitchen was stocked with enough pots and pans for many great meals. The house was extremely csummer. We sent pictures to 2 of our family members who couldnt make it and they were so upset the missed the fun. Overall we were extremely happy and it is a very short walk to beach. We hope to book again for next sumner."
