"This hotel was ideal for my 2 night stay in Penrith. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and robes/slippers available for the pool and/or spa. Pool and gym opening hours were good and the gym is well equipped. Staff in all areas were helpful and friendly. The restaurant menu offered a varied selection and I ate there on both evenings. The atmosphere overall was relaxing. It was an ideal place to stay for my first visit to Penrith and I'd be happy to stay again. "

"Reception and Lady serving at breakfast were all lovely, room clean, shower really nice and food at bar and drinks all good. No car park at the hotel but parking at Cricket club a short walk away for 2 pound a day. Enjoyed our stay and would book again if ever in Kendal "

"4 night break meeting up with friends. The staff were all friendly and proactively helpful. We did not use the spa, but parking was okay and the two 22kW EV chargers a welcome bonus. Location was perfect for town centre. Weather was wet for much of the time but we found plenty to do within a reasonable distance. Would happily stay here again."

"Room was in desperate need of redecoration. Coffee mug stains on the bedside table, dirty carpet (stains as well on carpet), trim peeling away from wood above bathroom mirror, dusty lampshades. The windows really need replacing as there was a constant breeze coming in through them. I stayed 4 nights and my room wasn't serviced once in that time - so I made sure to take out my rubbish every day. On the positive side, the view over the lake was fabulous, it was great to see the sheep wander past the window in the morning, and it was quite quiet - which was great as it was so near to the motorway. It was also very convenient being right on the M6\. The staff that I spoke to on reception were lovely too. "
