Auberges à Mountain View

« I recently spent five nights here (mid July) while solo hiking Volcanoes National Park (30 minutes away) and exploring the Hilo area. I would totally stay here again by myself or with my significant other. This was a beautiful and fun compliment to spending all day outside - being screened in and protected from the rain, but otherwise immersed in outdoor Hawaii. The garden is beautiful, and the property felt very private and safe to me. The outdoor shower was nice and hot - perfect after a...

« Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. This is a rustic cabin in the jungle. 4.5 miles off the main road, 2.2 miles of it is dirt (well maintained, regular cars not a problem). 15 minute drive to nearest civilization (the part of the description being in the middle of a historic town is inaccurate - it's 7 miles outside a historic town). There are 4 walls,...

« My 10 year old daughter's favorite out of the 4 places we stayed, and I agree. Clean, affordable, and so charming, Tons of fruit trees and flowers, beautiful property. Great balance between eco friendly and comfortable. Guests are asked to conserve power (as location is solar powered and the location sometimes has long stretches of rain), but still great wifi, powerful fan, shampoo and body wash in the shower and a high water pressure endless hot shower. The fairy lights directing the way to...

« Lemon Tree Lanai is an excellent place for vacationers who want a real Hawai'i rain forest experience without a lot of hype and "club-med" type extras. It's a bit rustic, but clean, with beautiful flowery grounds. comfortable and convenient. The lucky geckos are a plus, visiting every evening to take care of any bugs on the lanai that might have slipped in the screen. The host is excellent, very friendly and helpful although you won't see him much after checking in. The check in process was a...

« Volcano house was absolutely amazing! The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't leave more time in our trip to enjoy every element of our stay there! We have stayed at a lot of places....Hawaii marks our 50th state visiting as a family, and I didnt expect how much Volcano house would literally be an attraction in itself. Joshua was wonderful. He gave us clear instructions of how to find the home, and I was so thankful for his advice of where to eat in the evening for our late evening...

« Fun and unique home with a lot of charm! Enjoyed sitting on the covered patio and listening to the rain and wildlife. One of the bedrooms is open to the living area below with no door. Not a problem for us but should be included in the description. »

« Clean room, quiet environment, Easy to communicate with host. Only down side is it is a little hard to find the location as it is in a remote area. »

« The Lehua Lodge is the best place I have ever stayed on the Big Island!! Linda is a phenomenal host, very available and highly responsive!! The lanai on this property is amazing!! We loved listening to the rain and enjoyed all the gorgeous flowers! We loved it so much that we extended our stay!! Can not say enough about the home or the hosts!! We will definitely stay here again!! »

« A previous booking elsewhere cancelled at last minute due to changes in Hawaiian law re holiday homes in cettain areas. Needed an early morning strst to get to get to volcano - only 20mins away. This accomm served the purpose. Note it is basic. »

« Great location for us, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Host was great with communication. »

« chambre trais sale , a/c extremement bruyant »
