"The place is very well located close to all the touristic attractions, bus stops, any kind of stores and a market and most importantly to the city events. The staff is friendly but make sure you understand each other well if you ask for extra cleaning. The appartment has all the minimum necessary appliances. The only missing thing is the toilet seat :) Would be great to have it installed."

From their lovely honour system at their 24 hour self serve bar to their unique fabulous breakfast, we will always stay at the Diplomat Boutique Hotel when in Merida. We can't rate it high enough. Hotel was very nice and clean, well painted and great atmosphere. Fantastic breakfast is included and cooked in the cleanest kitchen I've seen in Mexico. Owner Yan was extremely helpful and interesting to talk to. He is helpful in explaining why things are the way they are in Merida and the Yucatan. The only thing that I didn't like was paying $35mex for a coffee before complimentary coffee started at 7:30am. One km from plaza grande is a little bit of a walk but the cabs are very cheap....
