"Big Sur Lodge is truly Nature’s Paradise, surrounded by giant sequoia trees, birds, & the beautiful natural sun. A place to do some serious digital-detoxing, it was difficult first day due to NO WiFi & NO TV including No clocks. But once you go outside and explore the wonderful nature around, I truly appreciated and loved our time, and actually talking amongst family. Our cabin was comfortable & clean, only thing I didn’t like is we had no screens on windows (only the bathroom), and it was hot, needed some fresh air, mosquitoes and bugs definitely entered, and we got bit by mosquitoes. Also, one other downfall was the check-in process, was a 30 minute long wait. Believe me- this place is worth adventuring & E-detoxing for better peace of mind and reset."

"We always love staying here with our dogs when we visit Carmel. It’s a great place to stay! We got a balcony this time and our dogs loved it! It’s super close to the beach and there are some dog friendly food places to eat at in walking distance. It’s always pretty clean and the staff is very friendly. We’d definitely come back"

"Beautiful Property and amazing landscaping. Our room had a large hedge of flowering star jasmine right in front of our room patio area. I'm very allergic specifically to star jasmine so we couldn't enjoy opening the back patio door or sit out for very long. . Might be good idea to ask if there are any specific plants that may trigger allergies? Aside from that, all was fine. We appreciated all the complementary goodies in our room."

"We live in Carmel and dropped down the coast for a quick mid-week getaway. The property is amazing, its location facing the south coast ocean in the heart of Big Sur proper between Post Ranch and Nepenthe is ideal. The property was immaculate, comfortable, magical, capturing the essence of Big Sur in every way. The host was immediately responsive at every turn. Absolutely perfectly Big Sur!"
