"What a great home! Very spacious & comfortable! The owners have really gone out of their way to provide a ton of amenities to make the stay as much like home (and even better)! The Bedrooms are big and roomy. Bathrooms are as well. Kitchen and living area (where we mostly hung out) was very comfortable! The pool and hot tub are both huge. The grounds are spacious and allowed us to play around with the kids (small playground equipment included). We had never been to the area and for what we had planned (Big Bend, Ft. Davis, Marfa, etc...), the Marathon home was a perfect location. The town offers a few dining spots, a country store, and a few unique sights! Definitely would recommend this home to stay! Can't wait to come back!"

"Bait and switch. Pics on booking sites do not match actual rooms. Serious disrepair: -completely different decor -furniture broken -toilet was not secured, rocked when sat on -tiny vintage sink outside toilet/shower room (cool for a collector, unacceptable for a motel) -hadn’t been painted in god knows how long -ceiling light fixture started strobing when turned off (we have video) -loud music from hotel residents -front desk polite but clearly checked out Gateway to a national park should do better for the price. "
