"The cabin is a delightful space! It is very thoughtfully furnished and decorated, a truly cozy nest in nature. We swam in the river and enjoyed sitting outside in the trees. Heron is a responsive and generous host. Great library, seating areas inside and out, well-stocked kitchen. I highly recommend."

"The cottage was well equipped, clean, and as advertised. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. A great space if you have kids to entertain on a rainy day! Beautiful cottage on a quiet street. Quite a few steps to the water, not great for anyone with mobility or health issues if you want water access. River is nice for canoeing or kayaking, but too weedy for swimming. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend if you're in the area!"

"If you are looking for a cottage to recharge your batteries, this is the one! Coffees on the dock in the morning, drinks on the deck in the evening as the sun sets and the loons dive for their dinner, this is the quintessential Canadian cottage. Spotless with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay, this cottage has it all. The hosts were readily available to answer any questions, the neighbors were warm and welcoming making this a memory we will treasure. We will definitely return."

"My family just stayed at this newly listed property. It was absolutely beautiful. The water was clear and warm and there was swimming right off the dock. The cottage was large with space for all 9 guests. The hosts provided kayaks, life jackets and lawn games. We had a campfire at night. We brought our dogs and there was a lot of room for them both inside and outside. The price was very reasonable and communication with the host was quick and excellent. I have nothing negative to say. The listing photos are accurate but honestly the house is more beautiful in person. The town is a short drive away with a pizza place, No Frills and other stores nearby. I give this rental 5 stars. You do need to wear water shoes because there are zebra mussels. Thankfully the host told us in advance. We also brought drinking water. I’m very grateful to our hosts for their kindness and hospitality. We had a great time."

Family Friendly Beautiful Lake Front Cottage

"Our trip was fabulous. I always love a cottage where we are free to bring out furry friend with us. We brought our own paddle boards (the property provided a paddle board and 2 kayaks) and loved being out on the lake. It was nice and calm. A little boat traffic but nothing heavy. It is a bit of a trek into town so if you want a home base for exploring it may not be ideal for you but it was perfect for what we wanted. (It was about 30-45 mins in to the closet town) Time on the water, a campfire and family time, lots of board games.The property was clean, well stocked and everything was easy to find/ access. I loved having the BBQ. I don't think we turned the oven on at all. Perfect family vacation."

"My group and I had a blast and really enjoyed the lakefront view: tons of wilderness spotted. We really enjoyed the wood burning sauna and the fire pit. The property left something to be desired in the cleanliness department (old cobwebs, etc) which lent itself to the rustic feel. The shower pressure was dribbling and the hot tub didn’t get above 90f. The location was excellent and there was tons of room for everyone."
