"The host was excellent in communication . He explained how I could down load an apple map that would work when I was out of cell phone range. Views were great. One thing that is probably in the description of the unit I missed is the unit was on the 3rd floor. Glad I missed it as my wife has issues walking and with stairs. If I had noted the unit location that I would have passed on the unit and missed a great adventure. Saw many deer. We went out on the porch at night and saw spectacular stars. Great views were inhibited a bit by lights left on in the great room on first floor. I think they were on all night. If I were more ambitious I would have trekked down and shut them off. Bed was very comfortable, spacious bathroom. One complaint is there was no decaf coffee an no pot to plug in and heat water for tea. The cups for coffee were 1-2 stars at best. Just a side note we were taking a day trip from our VRBO in Bainbridge. The VRBO communication tool did not seem happy with that as I continually had problems. I also used my iPhone and my iPad and the two did not mirror each other. John the host was very tolerant of my communication limitations"

"Fabulous atmosphere and stunning scenery. Comfortable bed and clean property. Ideal for the tourists on the go, but bring a laptop or tablet as there is no television in #1 Pine Room. Also clothing storage is a bit challenging with no luggage stand, dresser, nor closet shelf. Rates in the area are high, so the property is a fair value for the region but a bit high priced for what is provided. Parking is also an uncomfortable distance from the structure making it difficult for those of us with physical challenges. All in all I was satisfied and would return on future visits."

"A great amount of space and phenomenal location! It was super easy to get to Port Angeles, Lake Crescent and the Sol Duc Falls entrance. Having the restaurant with an ice cream window and animals right out the front door was a real treat for our kids! Unfortunately it just felt like it was due for a full deep clean, lots of dust built up on the air returns, cobwebs in corners, dirty drains in the kitchen sink."

"We loved our stay and would stay here again. Beautiful views and room. If I could give it a 4.5 I would. There were minor details that if addressed would make it a 5 star. Even so, I would encourage anyone to stay here. Minor things- The bathroom light over the sink is out. There is no hair conditioner. Either the bottle is missing or they don't provide it. We could barely turn the shower handle. I had to have my husband do it because it turns so hard. And like other reviews mention, the walls are very thin. We had an absolutely quiet evening enjoying nature from our balcony and we went to bed at 11:00. The next door group arrived shortly after and were not observant of the “quiet hours.” The hosts have tried to do everything to address this. There are multiple places and ways they ask you to be respectful of neighbors and they provide a sound machine and ear plugs. This probably can’t be avoided especially since the hosts aren’t on site. All of that being said I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! We loved our room and the views!"
