"The windows are only double panes and it was SO loud!"

"The front desk concierge on April 23, around 5:30 PM, was not considerate at all. In fact, he seemed to do the opposite of what I requested. I asked for a room with the bay view, but he gave me a room on the opposite side, with no view of the bay. When I mentioned that I booked this vacation to rest and relax, he placed me in a room on the 23rd floor, directly beneath ongoing renovations. It felt as though this was done intentionally. The noise was unbearable. We woke up at 6 AM to hammering and drilling. There was no warning about these renovations on the Sheraton website or at the time of booking. However, the other staff members who later assisted me were absolutely amazing and very kind. They changed my room on April 24, around 12 PM, and the new room was excellent, quiet, with a beautiful view of English Bay. I truly appreciate their help."

"The staff were nice. I made reservations about 8 weeks in advance. At that time, I asked for 2 extra blankets, that didn’t happen. The bathroom had only 2 washcloths. I had to call for more as there was three of us. They brought up 2 hand towels. There are lights under each bed that go off and on with motion. I asked how to turn them off. They said you have to disconnect them from under the bed. The hotel lobby is very small. It doesn’t look anything the pictures. There’s no cafe. No gift shop, nothing. Just bare bones."

"This is a clean, affordable and central place to stay in downtown Vancouver. The staff are great. The rooms are large - though a bit dated. The restaurant and coffee shop are handy. It can be noisy (traffic, sirens) due to its location and the single pane windows (try to get a room at the back of the building). There are a pool and exercise room but both are in a dingy basement area. "

"The location is everything if you want to be close to the waterfront. The room was nice, the amenities were well kept, gym was a bit small, but had all the main items. The staff were friendly and very helpful with everything."
