"Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Downtown Dallas was incredibly disappointing, especially because this was meant to be a surprise Mother’s Day trip. What should have been a thoughtful, relaxing experience instead came with obstacles at nearly every turn. We paid extra for a city view room, only to be told upon arrival they had sold out of them. We were assured the difference in cost for a standard room would be discounted from our final bill, so we accepted the inconvenience in good faith. At check-in, there was also a nightclub inside the building playing loud, inappropriate music that didn’t suit the relaxing hotel atmosphere you want. We were told it was “not owned by the hotel” despite clearly affecting hotel guests. At checkout, we were then told because we booked through a third party, the promised discount would not be honored. Staff offered to comp parking, except parking had already been prepaid, making the gesture meaningless. They then suggested maybe breakfast could be compensated, despite that also already being paid for. On our way out, we passed a dead roach in the stairwell, which only added to concerns about upkeep. Then, after prepaying for parking, we were stopped and told we had to pay again to leave the garage until someone was finally called to resolve it. Mistakes happen. What stood out most was the lack of courtesy, accountability, and follow-through. For a trip meant to celebrate Mother’s Day, this experience was frustrating and deeply disappointing."

"Everything was great. The only thing that was an issue was the check in due to IT issues with computer other than that was a good hotel!"

"Staff was very kind. Upon initial check in, I was given a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. I went down again and was granted a room request on the 1st floor after discovering how slow the elevator ran. Overall, it’s an old property and it shows. There was mildew in the base of the shower and a cockroach in the bathroom. Snack area was very poorly stocked. Thankfully, we were in the room a very short time; bed was comfy and AC worked well. "

"All your staff was very professional and friendly. Your bartender was awesome. My granddaughters enjoyed they pool. Your breakfast on Sunday was amazing it was a hoping place. Your Texas waffle station well that was the talk at our Table with my grandbabies. Thank you "
