"Maybe it’s just me. I’ve never heard of a $20 cash deposit for checking into a room. I’ve heard of a card on file with a monetary hold, but that seemed shady. When I expressed to the clerk that it was something I had never heard of, she nervously backed off the idea and then said “I’ll do no deposit for you” as if it was a favor. I have a feeling this is a side hustle scam. Won’t be returning."
