This property is in a quiet residential community and Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule of 1 strike. Simply respect your neighbors, keep the noise down and no parties.

Welcome to 17 Turtle Bay! This 3 BD/ 3 BA townhome is in a riverfront community that offers the best of both worlds, from a communal swimming pool and fishing pier to a 10-minute walk (3 min golf cart ride) to the beach! The main area offers an open concept kitchen/dining area and living room that leads to a screened in porch with glimpses of the river. The main bedroom is located upstairs and opens to a private deck. Each of 3 bedrooms have access to their own private bathroom and each provide plenty of storage space.

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

Parking is available for up to 3 vehicles; 2 cars fit comfortably in the garage and 1 more car can be parked under a covered carport.
The community pool is open April - October from 8am-10pm (exact dates vary depending on the weather)
The fishing dock is accessible year-round. Please note the HOA does not permit boats in the complex, or use of the dock for boating purposes.
The building is elevated so the entry is via stairs (no elevator is available)
We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
No pets allowed. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 8 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

Amazing Property

This property is amazing! It’s close enough to all the shops and restaurants to walk to on Folly and the sunsets on the dock! You just can’t beat that view. Only about 20 minutes from Charleston. Everything was so convenient!

Nice little gem, slightly unusual neighborhood

The rental was clean, and comfortable. We pumped up the tires and rode bikes. A lot of cooking utensils, pots/pans and seasonings. Master shower was great. The complex was a little odd in that it is completely fenced and little to no grass. I received a text from the property management company that the island is enforcing a noise ordinance and there are devices throughout the rental, that while not recording or listening, would notify me via text if we exceed the acceptable decibel of noise. I wasn’t quite sure how to take this. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would likely return.

Family Spring Break

We’ve stayed a lot of places and have property rentals in the family. I was impressed with the ease of check in and out, timely text messages including check in instructions and replies to any questions. The preparation of the home, the beds, linens, towels, kitchen dishes and utensils and cookware, and the house’s overall cleanliness was perfect. The access to the pool and the beach as well as the dock to launch our paddle boards was very convenient. Only 4 stars for advertised amenities because the owner had left his golf cart in the garage limiting the parking to 2 spots instead of 3. Luckily, the neighbor offered the car port use making the trip even more convenient. We had access to a car and our golf cart the whole time without swapping vehicles in and out. We plan to book again next year.

Overall the home was clean and roomy. The sofas, area rug, and throw pillows appeared to need cleaning due to unpleasant smell. The beds were comfortable with the exception of the one in the master upstairs. Not sure what was going on with that (hoses hanging out from mattress on both sides?)!Kitchen appeared well supplied. We didn't cook. Office was responsive and helpful. Walkable and easy drive to Charleston. Lots of rules!

Location was fantastic! Easy walk to beach and shops. Great view. Space worked out for our group. Could use a few extra blankets on site/in closets. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of pots/pans, utensils for us to prepared Thanksgiving. Much more so than expected. A few tiny spots in corners had a little bit of debris/old food (cereal under couch). TV kept saying subscription ran out for YouTube TV and we couldn’t get accesss to Thanksgiving day parade and football games. Would definitely rent again. Management's company was very responsive and friendly!

Perfect quiet week

We have stayed in Turtle Bay years ago and loved the location. Quiet on the back river, small but clean quiet pool, close to the downtown restaurants and shops and quick walk to a few public beach accesses. Home was very clean, fully equipped for anything we needed and staff responded within minutes when needed. Highly recommend

Amazing stay!

This place was perfect for our family! The community was so cute, the pool right next to us was so convenient with the kids! The view and sunsets from the deck were beautiful! I saw some reviews say the pool was small but i thought it was a great size and it was never crowded, we always were able to get in it and pretty much be the only ones in it. The place has so many towels which was so nice compared to other places we have stayed. The location was so close to the main strip and an easy walk to the beach and all the shops. They had bikes and beach chairs at the house. We did rent a golf cart and having 2 suvs and a golf cart was a tight fit, but they all fit perfect under the house, we just had to swap them around when needed which was not that big of a deal at all. The property manager was extremely easy to communicate with as well. Overall would stay here again! Such a great week in folly beach, we will be back!

Needs better parking we were contacted about our golf cart out side the carport but most of the place had vehicles outside theirs if this is against HOA standards for this location it should be for everyone including locals which where not the friendliest and the pool hrs were posted but not enforced. Other than this our stay and room was nice.

Mgmt company was little snappy about finding a pool key - stating it was last renters issue that it was not where it was supposed to be - that’s really a mgmt company issue and kindness goes a long way. Perfect for a family getaway

We had 4 adults, 3 toddlers and a baby with us at the house. Perfect amount of space for all of us. We had a chef in our group who had plenty of pots and pans to use, it was well furnished and clean! The only issue was the coffee pot, we could never get a full pot as it kept turning off, would recommend replacing soon. There was a Keurig as well, but had to use 8 pods a day. We left our extras for the next renter! We also noticed there were no dish towels, pot holders or cleaning rags so we purchased a big set of each and left in the house for other renters! The house has a beautiful view of the water, loved the screened in porch for the kids and eating outside. Having the pool right next door was amazing! Never had any noise issues, it was truly an enjoyable week! Highly recommend this house to rent.
