The Villas at Simpson Bay Resort

"My family and I stayed at the Villas at Simpson Bay Resort for 6 days/5 nights. We had a party of 10, celebrating a 50th birthday. Upon arrival, the staff was extremely courteous and welcoming, and that continued throughout the entire stay. Even though we had a planned itinerary, they offered other places for us to visit and excursions we had not thought of. The breakfast buffet was very good and I enjoyed the variety of choices. My negative comments would be (1) the rooms are a bit outdated and could use some upgrading, (2) the beds are extremely firm, and (3) there were a couple of days where housekeeping cleaned the rooms but did not replace the towels. Overall, it is a very nice place to stay, the location is great, and within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. We had a great time and didn't want to leave. Would definitely return."

"This property is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in King studio and had an amazing view with a nice size room and large bathroom. It has a kitchenette and a coffee maker. You can see a lot of fish when you snorkel around the rocks that extend around to the infinity pool. Water is crystal clear with no current. The swimming pools are all beautiful with multiple layers and waterfalls. The food is delicious at every restaurant. We had the all inclusive and it's totally worth it. Pina coladas are great. We loved the resort so much that we never even left to explore the rest of the island. It's a very relaxing vibe."

"The resort was a very pleasant surprise. Although a little further from the action in St. Maarten than I would have preferred and with the beach not being the most appealing (although you were given notice before your stay) it turned out to be a gift in itself. Very well kept place with an amazing staff (Dave, Kevin, Pan, Nico, Ronald or Richard) including the taxi service-shout out to Malcolm. Despite the distance, you got to enjoy the turn up and then return to a quiet oasis. We did spend a full day at the resort and even that was a joy. Poolside with drinks and food and even a live band, very comfortable and relaxing. You were even able to have your personal speakers to listen to your own music which is a plus. Overall, I would recommend if you’re looking for a place to relax and reset. Do not expect spring break type action but definitely worth booking."
