"After reading others reviews I was nervous about my selection for a 3 night stay. Before I write my review, I will not be comparing it to a Marriott or other high end Hotels. So many reviews I read compared the two. They cannot be compared. A few things to ask yourself: 1. How much time are you spending in the room? 2. How much money do you want to save or spend? 3. How picky are you with the fine details? After you answer those questions, if you are spending all day and night in the room, this is not for you. If you like to save money, it will be a good choice, but if willing to spend more, then go hotel. If you're picky, then go to a hotel. I stayed 3 nights in July. Spent only our nights there, wanted something within budget, and we're not picky people, so this was our choice. Now the review: Motel was larger than expected with ample parking. It's in a safe area with lots to see and do in the area. A 5 min walk to downtown Golden, containing lots of shops and restaurants. The outside esthetics is old-school with browns and yellows and could use updating. The room, also old-school, but had two beds, tv, air, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Room was very clean and shower was hot with lots of pressure. Bed and pillows were comfy. Outdoor pool was closed (no big deal for us). Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Overall, our experience was good and would recommend staying here as long as your not expecting presidential treatment."

"My husband and I were traveling through Invermere and really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. We liked the location, and it was really quiet there. Staff were great and helpful. Our room had a kitchenette which we really enjoyed. The only negative thing we came across is that the breakfast could have included more protein options, but the kitchenette was convenient so we could cook our own food if we wanted. We also found the price to be reasonable. We will definitely be back!"

"I last minute booked in Golden and I am so glad I found this place! It is so cute, the staff were amazing, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. This property is so comfortable and homey. We watched one of the soccer games in the lobby and they made us comfortable. They also have a big fireplace and it is so cozy!! They offered free drinks & snacks and were just overall very generous. The mountain views from our bedroom were spectacular. I can’t wait to stay here again!"

Travelodge by Wyndham Golden Sportsman Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The best part was the location—McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, and Tim Hortons were all within walking distance. The breakfast was quite good, with scrambled eggs, a selection of breads, muffins, cereals, juice, and coffee. They also had a pancake machine, but unfortunately, it wasn’t working during our stay. The breakfast area is a little small, so it’s better to arrive early. Overall, we had a very good and comfortable stay. It was great value for the money, and I would definitely recommend this place."
