« Quick overnight stay with my two older kids. Staff is fantastic at this hotel. The hotel is on the smaller side which is a bonus, still has all the good stuff: clean pool and hut tub, great breakfast buffet, all day coffee and hot water available. Despite a full house- it was quiet and restful. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. It's a great location to the town itself and surrounding fun areas. Would absolutely stay here again and again. »

« Located in the downtown area of a small town in western MN, Canby Inn & Suites is a gem. We stayed here for 3 nights as our home base during a birding weekend. Every staff member greeted us warmly and offered to do whatever they could to make our stay comfortable. When we advised that we would be heading out at 5:30 am one of the mornings of our stay, they had freshly brewed coffee ready for us to take along. « Although it is very early season, the whole resort was not completely open. Especially the dining venues. We were basically left to 2 choices fo dining. Of the 2, we dined in the grill area. The food was just ok. They didnt use real butter to grill the bread, instead using the fake oil stuff which is awful to begin with. It transfers the burned flavor of sitting out the grill too long then the grill metallic tastes transfers to the bread. (I know this because i was a chef for many years) »
