« Beautiful historic inn by the river. Close to downtown Damascus. We were able to walk to our bike shuttle to get on the creeper. Nice restaurants within walking distance and the hotel in the restaurant was really good. Loved our room and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The lady in charge of breakfast is a gem. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. You will love this place! »

« Had a wonderful stay. Was pleasantly surprised to find the property was very private with no houses or other people around. The pictures of the property don't quite do this spot justice. Loved that you could also hear the nearby creek as well. I'll be back for sure. »

« Bathroom was filthy. Bathtub was dirty and stained. Floors were dirty and every corner was caked with dirt in the bathroom. No bkankets on bed. Bottom sheet was inside out and stained. »

The exterior spaces are under construction or in need of maintenance. Breakfast was a true Southern experience and a good fit if you are planning to bike the Virginia Creeper. « This is a gem of a modern Scandinavian remote country cottage. The landscaped fire pit patio, and large covered front porch are very comfortable outdoor areas. Indoors has everything you need including a very comfortable and deep bathtub. We were a group of 4 friends traveling to hike at Grayson’s Highlands and thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. »
