"The room smelled like urine. It is small, dirty and incredibly run down—every facet. The windows are so old that there’s no insulation against noise. When sirens go off, they might as well be in the room with you. The location is great, but the cost vs the status of the room is not at all fairly calibrated. I would not recommend this property. We had an issue with our AC unit and after calling twice, the gentleman from security (or maintenance) came and immediately changed out the air filter which was FILTHY. Hotel was highly outdated with no extra amenities, (fridge, microwave, breakfast, coffee etc). You can use local parking garages for $60 max per day if you don’t move your car. With no in and out privileges. Overall, the stay was ok for what was needed but would never stay here again."

"Older style hotel in the heart of NYC Times Square just half a block from all the action. Amazingly quiet in the rooms. Walk west from the hotel and you quickly are in quieter neighborhoods and end up at the pier on the Hudson river. I loved the hotel and recommend it. One thing they should address are the electrical wall sockets. I stayed in two different rooms on different weeks of my NY trip and both rooms had loose sockets and sometimes sparked when I removed a plug. Not cool."
