It was my first time staying at Cedarview. I had high expectations due to all the good reviews and its features such as hot tup, fire place, and sauna. However, I was not able to use any of the above during my stay. I personally think this could have been better if this was communicated.
Before the trip, I had couple of questions to ask so I contacted the host. They replied a day after saying that I am not booked for the days I booked two months before I asked the question. I had to reply back with my booking info and, luckily, they found my booking and replied back with an answer, a day later. I had couple more important questions but the reply was always late and I asked to provide a check in instruction and reply was "it should've been provided with booking. I'll send it again." True, eventually found the old email, but the email he said he will provide again is still not in my in box.
Mostly importantly, the place is advertised with all the great features, none of which we could use. If there are local restrictions during the stay that is impacting what you are selling your rentals for, let your customers know in advance so that we can make a better decision on choosing where to stay. It almost feels that we got scammed and never got our money's worth.
Like I mentioned in the beginning of the review, all these could've been resolved before the stay, just with a better communication and maybe some transperancy. But that maybe might be too much to ask.
