The house was nice. Loved the native carvings on the bed. Hot tub was great. We were surprised someone lived upstairs. The Delong coffee/espresso maker didn’t work but they had a French press so our morning coffee was saved. Two showers had curtains 2 inches too short so water got all over the floor. And there was no shampoo or conditioner and a tiny bar of soap so we had to do a shop right away. Other than that it was a nice place to hang out in between adventures. Beds were nice. Great cooking supplies.

This could be a lovely property but needs some TLC. The pictures on line are old and do not reflect the condition of the house. Main bathroom/master was a spa bath but not useable and so old the cleanliness was suspect. The two other shower bathrooms the shower curtains did not reach floor, sink was so slow draining. Blind broken in one bedroom and mouldy. Sitting room/ dining room/ kitchen nice but again very tired.

Great Stay!
Wonderful location and fantastic views from the house. Tofino is magic! Our only suggestions would be to provide basic shampoo and conditioner for guests and replace the glass on the stove in the sauna. We enjoyed our stay!

Great place, bad communication
It was my first time staying at Cedarview. I had high expectations due to all the good reviews and its features such as hot tup, fire place, and sauna. However, I was not able to use any of the above during my stay. I personally think this could have been better if this was communicated. Before the trip, I had couple of questions to ask so I contacted the host. They replied a day after saying that I am not booked for the days I booked two months before I asked the question. I had to reply back with my booking info and, luckily, they found my booking and replied back with an answer, a day later. I had couple more important questions but the reply was always late and I asked to provide a check in instruction and reply was "it should've been provided with booking. I'll send it again." True, eventually found the old email, but the email he said he will provide again is still not in my in box. Mostly importantly, the place is advertised with all the great features, none of which we could use. If there are local restrictions during the stay that is impacting what you are selling your rentals for, let your customers know in advance so that we can make a better decision on choosing where to stay. It almost feels that we got scammed and never got our money's worth. Like I mentioned in the beginning of the review, all these could've been resolved before the stay, just with a better communication and maybe some transperancy. But that maybe might be too much to ask.

Beautiful House & Location
Property was beautiful - amazing view, great to have hot tub, sauna and fire pit. The house is walking distance to Chesterman beach (no need to pay for parking). Every bedroom had it's own bathroom with shower which was a nice bonus, however, surprised there wasn't any shampoo or conditioner, only a small bar of face soap (the kind in hotels). Not a big deal though, the house is worth it.

Beautiful retreat and location
This is my third time renting this property and it won’t be the last - the location is so peaceful and yet close enough to Tofino to be so convenient! Love that the new pathway through Pacific Rim is so close - almost all the way to Ucluelet! Great rental.

We stayed here 6 years ago and loved the property. Unfortunately there was a fire ban so we could not use the fir pit which is usually one of our highlights coming from Cayman Islands. Great views, open concept easy kitchen to cook in. The price is appropriate for what you get.

Enjoyed our stay at this house. Great location close to the beach. Loved the hot tub! They were a bit light on towels and dishes and had no blue tooth speaker/stereo, but otherwise the place was great!

Loves that each room had their own bathrooms, the hot tub, sauna, 10min walk from beach 😀
We would most definitely stay at this property again. Was enough room for all 6 of us, great wrap around deck to hangout on, secluded but still in walking distance to the beach. All positive experiences except the BBQ wasn’t in the best working order therefore we didn’t use it. Good times, Good friends, Good food. WEST COAST - BEST COAST 😀.

Perfect for families!
This was just what we needed! Easy access to the beach (took me 4 minutes to walk!), on a quiet street for kids to play, on the multi-use trail if you want to walk/bike, short drive to town. We really enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the sound: private, well maintained, definitely a highlight. Overall the house was nice and clean and as described in the listing. The kitchen supplies/equipment were pretty basic- we cooked quite a bit and had to improv without a few tools - but functional. Thanks for having us! We hope to be back!

Great house! Love the boardwalk out to the hot tub and sauna. The view is great, and it’s very conveniently located near Chesterman. The bed’s are a bit on the firm side, but not to the point where we lost sleep. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great home and view
Great place to stay with friends, it's all one level which is nice. Great view and amazing property right on the inlet side of Tofino. The hot tub was lovely, unfortunately there was no dry firewood for the sauna as we were quite excited to use. I would absolutely book this property again, however advise future guests to bring blankets as we could not locate any, although the heating system within the home worked very well. Great kitchen and living room! The bedrooms were clean and organized, and if you like a firm mattress then you're in luck. Overall great rental!

Stayed November 1 to 5 2021. We were a group of 6 ranging in age from 3 months to 75 years. The house is beautifully appointed and the location is secluded and breath taking. The kitchen really does have all the gadgets you need. For the most part we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again. The only things we observed that we felt could have been better were that the beds are hard, we all have firm beds at home but after 2 nights in these beds we all had aches and pains. While it appeared that there were boxes of aluminium foil, coffee filters, and cling wrap the boxes themselves were empty. The owner was there for half of our stay - we didnt encounter him but the stay was not entirely private. On the whole we had a wonderful time, booking and check in was easy and the management company was helpful and responsive.

Amazing location, Amazing property
We loved our stay here. It was easy to find. The location was perfect - a 3 minute walk to Chesterman beach and right on the water on the inlet. We love the boardwalk and the hot tub right on the water. All 3 bedrooms had their own bathroom. There is lots of room for relaxation in the living room and the kitchen table is large and fit the 6 of us easily for a large Thanksgiving dinner. Having the Tesla charger was also perfect.

A real treasure!
Fantastic location, wonderful house, a perfect week! This was an awesome place to stay - we enjoyed it immensely. The house has great amenities, was well equipped, and the location is stunning. Almost a 5 star rating.....missing a few things....
Great place - we were lucky to have the place to ourselves until the last night when someone in the upper lodgings arrived and started vacuuming.....also a few things to note: stovetop and fan needs upgrading, as does the mattress in bedroom on left as you enter. More hooks and perhaps a foldable laundry hanger, screen on windows so no bugs come in. Shower curtains def need changing, mildew smell. Enjoyed being able to have a fire pit at our disposal with lots of wood, nice touch. Hot tub was great.

Very nice Place
We very much enjoyed our stay and the property is lovely and would most likely rent it again. The set up was really nice - had everything you would need and was just an over all beautiful home and view. However - it is not private - there are people that live upstairs and you can hear them all night and also when you walk out to the hot tub or view area they can see you and you can see into their upstairs living faciliy.

The property was exactly as listed - and was perfect for our family! We enjoyed the well set up kitchen, the selection of board games, the super comfy beds and excellent showers in the bathrooms, the bbq that worked perfectly and the firepit looked amazing - we were sad not to be able to use it because of the fireban. If you have a chance, definitely reach out to get Brian the owner to take you out deep sea fishing - we all loved that and our freezer is full fish! Furthermore, the owners were really responsive and super understanding when a family emergency meant we needed to cut the trip short for a day.

Beautiful property. Nice central location to everything. Was nice to bike to town and surrounding beaches. Used hot tub and sauna regularly. Would have been nice to have a dock to launch a kayak, however, nearby Grice Bay worked well. Great to have washrooms in every bedroom, however, found beds a bit hard and 2 of the bathroom are in need of hooks for swim trunks, towels, etc… Would highly recommend. A few minor improvements and Cedarview would have moved from a 8.5 to 9.0.

Perfect family getaway in Tofino
This is a special place. My family of four stayed at CedarView house for 5 nights and had a memorable time. The setting is beautiful, right on the water on the inlet side. This location is absolutely perfect as it is private and quiet, but also right across the street from Chesterman beach. A small complex of places to eat is a 10 minute walk away and the town center is about a 5-7 minute drive. The home had everything you could want in terms of household items and even included family games and a nice assortment of movies. We spent most of our time outside on the deck and really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great getaway!
It was perfect. Everything we needed. The hot tub temperature was way too hot the first night so we used the hose to cool it down in order to get in. I contacted Jim(management) and he responded right away and had a professional there first thing in the morning. It was perfect for the rest of the stay. Beds are a bit hard but we were ok with it but from past comments on this property I can see what they mean. I picked this property because of everything it had- hot tub, sauna, and fire pit. We used them all every night it was great. 7 min from right in Tofino. Literally walked across the road to chesterman beach which was amazing. We had great sunny weather this weekend which is a rarity in February. Thanks so much for such a great getaway!

Needs attention.
The property is in a great location and has some great features but really fell short on a some pretty important things. I will be following up with VRBO. PROS • Beautiful views of Jensens Bay. • Great location, walking distance to Cherstermans Beach. • Clean hot tub. • Ample parking. • New and modern furnishings. CONS • Poor check-in process. Property Manager emailed to advise that we were unable to check-in until 5:30pm due to COVID regulations for cleaning and the fact he couldn’t guarantee the group prior would check-out on time at 10am that day. This was frustrating as we have a toddler and the VRBO listing had said 4pm, which we based our ferry reservation around. After a phone discussion surrounding this, Jim’s solution was to connect me with the cleaners for status updates on the day but with no guarantee of the time the rental would be available. If the property cannot be cleaned in time for a fair check-in time or what has been advertised, the management company should not be booking back to back stays. • Kitchen understocked. Only had 2 wines glasses and no corkscrews, can opener is blunt and limited frying pans with Teflon peeling off which is toxic. We had to buy glasses in town. • Unwashed and dirty glasses in kitchen, old perishable food from other guests not removed. • Super slippery deck that is hazardous needs attention. Two members of our group slipped In the same spot, one had back pain the entire trip. • Mouldy bathtub, showers and shower curtains. • No ventilation in master bedroom. Windows do not open and room smelled mouldy. • Hot tub preset to 106, scorching hot and not adjustable. • Uncomfortable bedding unless you normally sleep on a plank of wood.
