Beautiful hotel! Very comfy bed and rooms were clean. Tiny bathroom … large people would have a problem with this. Nice but expensive restaurants. We would come back again and hopefully be able to enjoy the incredible view from the balcony

Wonderful Relaxation

Speaking, English only was not an inconvenience. They made you feel at home and welcomed, and the rooms were absolutely beautiful and the views of the St. Lawrence river was stunning. Thank you for a wonderful memory

Rivière du Loup
Lovely hotel overlooking the St. Laurence River. Excellent restaurant. The staff were very kind when I tried to speak French. Our usual spot where we stay midpoint between Halifax and Ottawa was closed for vacation so this hotel was a good substitute. Much larger but very nice.

It was expensive for a motel. The pool closed at 9 and was not open the following morning at all. I vastly preferred the Hotel Universel since the cost is the same.

Hi Linda, thank you for taking the time to leave us a comment.Unfortunately we cannot open the pool if we don't have a lifegard because the pool is too big and we need to follow the reglementation. Our lifeguards are back on the school bench, so we don't have other choice then only opening after the school hours. We hope that you have enjoy our other facilities as the spa, the bar, the terrasse and that you had a beautiful sunset over the river.

Location is good, Close to public river side park. Can see beautiful sunset in your room and fireplaces inside the hotel were beautiful. Having good view of the river. But food is pricy.

Facilities, food and terrasse were wonderful - as was the sunset! Unfortunately, we stayed in the pavillion called Cite, where the walls are paper thin which was annoying to say the least, especially early in the morning! Our room was very nice but there was a horrible odour coming out of the bathroom of "stinky shower curtain." The curtain was clean? Either the floors needed a good bleach or the shower curtain? Other than that the views from the Panorama Terasse were beautiful.

Great stay on the St Larwence River
Very nice and modern hotel right on the river with balconies that look out over the river. Staff are super friendly and helpful and room is very spacious and comfy.

Absolutely love this hotel/motel. We had a room in the De la Mer Pavilion. Stunning view, amazing room. Glass wear in room. Cannot wait to stay here again.

Perfect spot to break down a long roadtrip. Pool was great, the kids park is small and old but kids enjoyed it regardless, the terrace is gorgeous and easy walk down to the beach. The restaurant was great for dinner and the buffet breakfast was delicious!

An interesting hotel that is a collection of smaller buildings. Nicely renovated. A short drive or walk to the St. Lawrence River, nice walk along the water at the riverside park there. Only issue is wifi at the hotel was really spotty, very unusual these days. Next time we'd get a toom with river view. But the room was relatively large with a very nice renoed bathrrom. Had parking on the main floor right outside our room which was very convenient. No breakfast included but there is a buffet for $22/person.

The toilet bowl was leaking so they placed towels around the bowl so water would not be an issue. Unfortunately the hair dryer is affixed to the wall and because of the possible wet floor my wife could not wash her hair.

As far as we know, the leak was only a little dripping, that wouldn't have put your wife in danger if she would have use the air dryer that was in the bathroom. If something like this happen again, call the front desk, we could have bring you a regular air dryer for her to plug in an outlet in the room. Have a great day!

Bonjour Mario,nous vous remercions de nous faire part de votre commentairre, mais nous ne sommes pas certain de comprendre dans quelle mesure l'Auberge est trop chic et hautaine pour les enfants. Nous avons un pavillon récréatif avec piscine couverte pour eux, nous avons aussi un espace extérieur pour qu'ils puissent jouer et des vélos que l'on prête gratuitement. Nous offrons également un menu adapté au restaurant l'Espadon et les enfants sont admis au café-bar lorsqu'ils sont accompagnés de leurs parents pour prendre le repas. Nous avons des chambres familial avec trois lits plutôt que d'ajouter un lit d'appoint dans la chambre. Nous avons effectivement une décoration et un «esthétisme» plus chic qui s'apparente à un hôtel, mais les enfants sont toujours les bienvenus. Nous vous souhaitons une belle journée!
