never more reliable than Holiday Inn

Pros: Everything that Holiday Inn offers, it delivers hands down. Its the only chain that I can honestly say does from my experience.
Cons: NO FIGHTING, but thats what happens when fools drink. Unregestered guests causing the problems should not be allowed.
Location: The University is so close for families. and being kind of centrally located makes it easy for shopping and for dinning out if you so choose.
My wife and I stay exclusively in Holiday Inns. Last summer, in august, we stayed six nights, and felt very pampered. Every Holiday Inn facility that we have stayed in has the nicest, most polite staff, that effortlessly try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We just stayed there for four nights, and even with the renovations going on, you would never know except to visually see the contractors. These contractors were so polite and courteous, always letting customers take the elevators first, and their working in the hotel was very quiet, even knowing the floors they were on. The food is to die for. I had been waiting since last august to eat their "chicken pot pie" again. I swear its the best I have ever eaten. I love to cook, and I have tried to alter my recipe for "chicken pot pie" and as well I have tried to find a recipe similar on the internet, and there is none as of yet to be found. The only problem was the room next to us broke out into a fight with six men at 0645hrs. I went to help, but when one whipped out a knife I left to phone for help. Immediately hotel staff stopped all problems, how, I do not know. We are going back to the same hotel in the end of april and sure wouldn't mind having a complimentary night stay. Bottom line, Holiday Inn stands up to its claims, no matter which one your in. This hotel does need recycling containers in every room though.

The bathroom has a weird plastic smell but otherwise it was excellent.

Disappointing

Pros: The view was very nice and location was perfect.
Cons: I understand that these kinds of things happen in the hotel business. I wish they could have done something about my clothes.
Location: The hotel was close to downtown, shopping and the university.
I chose this hotel because it was close to family and friends for the holiday season and because I've had a positive experience with Holiday Inns in the past. To be as objective as possible I will just list off the problems. -My room was only cleaned 2 of the 5 days I stayed at the hotel. -There were no baggage carts available upon my arrival. -The elevators were extremely slow (in service during my stay). -Key cards didn't work regularly. -Finally... Bed bugs! I found a bed bug in the bed and put it in glass and brought it to the front desk. In fairness to the hotel, they refunded the booking. I still had to throw out my entire wardrobe (including presents from Christmas) and have my winter jackets professionally cleaned. After the bed bugs we went to another hotel needless to say.

Nice clean hotel

Location: We went to Celebrations dinner theatre just a couple of minutes down the road. It is right on Pembina so easy to get to all routes to anywhere in Wpg
We have no complaints about our stay. The only thing we ran into was the water in the shower ran hot and cold and during a shower you constantly had to adjust the water temperature. I mentioned it to the front desk when we checked out. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. We were on the tenth floor and it was nice and quiet with a great view of downtown Winnipeg in the distance.

Cons: only thing is room didn't have a microwave
Location: pretty accessible to everything
Staff were very helpful accommodating the room was great clean the pool area well maintained very impressed with our stay
