Awful

"On arrival to a so called 5 * resort nothing 5* about it No arrival drink offered the place was dead no atmosphere Wasn’t told anything about the hotel and what it offered or directions Room small and not the cleanest poor views from the room and very poor satellite tv blurred vision continually on the screen and old fashioned small tv Breakfast was not even 1* poor choice cold sausages bacon etc Staff not friendly Would never ever stay there again Overpriced and nothing to offer "

El Rancho 2 nights

"To start, we went to check in and they didn't really speak to us, took us straight to a cabin, had problems with the door code but that was resolved quickly. The room was nice, AC worked well which was appreciated in the heatwave. The bathroom could do with an upgrade, rusty shower holder, but perfectly useable. We stayed for 2 nights, we had lunch here on the 2nd day, food was good and the waitress that was serving us did her best to communicate with us, we don't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English (not that we expected her too). Google translate helped us through. We all enjoyed the pool, it was lovely and warm and big enough for our boys to splash around without bothering anyone. There was no-one around when we checked out, but we did leave at 7:30am. We went into Torrivieja both evenings, only a 15 minute drive away, which was really handy. Overall a good location and a hotel/venue with huge potential."

"Although the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, work didn’t start until 08;00 when we up and about so didn’t affect us or the communal areas. The pool looks lovely (we didn’t use it as it was a very short stop over) and we saw the attendant cleaning it. The entertainment was excellent, bar service, prices and excellent menu to suit all tastes and good portion sizes. Lots of options for breakfast with the best bacon barm I’ve ever had and super table service too. Then the bakery opened OMG it’s amazing and obviously very popular and we managed to bag some treats for our inward journey. When the improvements are complete I expect the hotel will be totally amazing and definitely worth a visit if In Algorfa. All the staff were really helpful and welcoming."
