“Worth the Price”
Best Hotel in Vienna. Very convenient to all attractions.
“luxury in vienna”
vienna is a magical place to visit, but very pricey as you have to pay entrance fees to churches, museums vienna card not necessarily good value, unless you need to use public transport
“You'll be happy to revisit”
Cannot be faulted for location to centre/attractions. Excellent service & courtesy. Breakfast must not be missed. The shopping mall/supermarket off the lobby provides an excellent shopping opportunity on your doorstep. All staff are extremely helpful & polite. Room facilities and maid service are what you would expect. Only downside is limited English-speaking satellite stations - but you shouldn't be sitting in and watching anyway! Buy a travel pass and make full use of the trams & U-bahn to get around - although you can easily walk from here to the City attractions (Stephansdom, Karnterstrasse, Rathaus etc.). International clientele in a period setting - you can watch the world go by from the breakfast room of lobby cafe.
“A Grand hotel”
Spent 4 nights at the Grand Hotel Vienna at the end of November. From check in to check out, everything was of the highest standard. All of the staff were very helpful, and catered for all of our needs. The Le Ciel restaurant was excellent - from the food right down to the service. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Will return to this hotel in the summer when the weather is a bit kinder. 10 out of 10.
“Fromahotelier”
This is truly a grand hotel. The decor is grand, the food is very good the service is very good and most importantly despite falling rates the owner did not try to make savings that affect quality
“Vienna's Best Hotel”
It was everything I'd expected and even more! The Ringstrassen-Galerien shopping mall was a a great find just next to the hotel!
“This place is worth more than one night”
Personnel were very friendly and helpful. Great location. Christmas decorations were nice and food was excellent
“Grand Hotel lives up to its name”
We had committed to spend a weekend in Vienna, and trawled websites to find the best compromise between price/quality/location. Amazingly, we found that 2 nights at the Grand Hotel were within our budget. (By contrast, when we later attempted to add the previous Thursday night, we discovered what the 'normal' rate was, so declined this possibility.) Location is a dream: on the Ring, close to the Opera and to the end of Kaertnerstrasse, absolutely ideal. Service mostly impeccable, although Reception can get a bit busy (maybe because the staff are so helpful). Super-comfy bed: my wife reports the best nights' sleep she has had for years. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We splashed out on a dinner in Le Ciel in-house restaurant (Michelin-starred): exquisite, but like any such establishment, you need to keep the likely bill in mind if you're less than well-heeled. We discovered that it's still possible to eat very well and remarkably cheaply (by London standards) in many Viennese restaurants.
“very comfortable and convenient.”
My daughter and I were extremely satisfied with this Hotel. It was walking distance to many museums and galleries and other sights. The room was clean and many amenities were prvided. The staff was extremely gracious and helpful
“Wien's trip”
It was our first trip to Vienna. If you are looking for comfortable hotel (especially bed) that also close to live area of city Grand hotel is the one.
