“A lovely hotel”
We had a lovely break here. Rooms very comfortable. Staff friendly. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room which we would have paid far more for if it were anywhere else. In my opinion it's worth being a bit further out for the slower pace and the views. We were also able to use the computer in the hotel to do our online check-in before leaving which was great.
“Venezia 2000, Lido”
An excellent 3 star hotel on the Lido island about 15 minutes by vaporetto from St Mark's Square. In a quiet area (in October) on the east coast of the Adriatic. It is about 10 minutes walk from the main vaporetto stop on the Lido. Very comfortable and large double room, well appointed. Extremely comfortable bed, well provided with TV and those so important charging sockets. All I would wish for as an extra would be tea making facilities (I am English after all) Good continental breakfast provided from a continuously replenished buffet. The staff were very courteous and helpful and most spoke excellent English. We heartily recommend this hotel and would certainly return for another visit.
“hotel agréable et accueil de qualité”
Les chambres de l'hôtel sont spacieuses, et l'accueil est appréciable Une certaine distance de Venise mais qui ne pose aucun souci grâce aux transports fréquents: bus A ou B devant l'hôtel, puis vaporetto pour rejoindre Venise ou aller sur les autres iles. Petit déjeuner correct, sans extra
“Loved It!!!”
We had an excellent time at this hotel. It is convenient to everything on the island and within walking distance to the water taxis. The beach is directly infront across the street. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room accomodations were more than adequate. The downstairs restaurant and bar are also nice to try when your too tired to venture out.
“Great Choice”
Having stayed in Venice before, our family of three were looking for a short stay in Lido so we could enjoy the nice shops there and dthe beach, yet be close enough for a day trip to Venice. Mission accomplished! The hotel was a perfect choice--clean, across the street from the beach, and a short walk to the town of Lido. We loved our stay, and would highly recommend it to others. The extra bonus is that hotel is about half the price of a night stay in Venice, and it was very comfortable and modern.
“Best of Both Worlds”
We decided to base our holiday on the Lido this year after previously staying in Venice itself. This provided us a relaxing "beach" holiday with the hub of Venice on our doorstep, which we were able to visit daily returning to the peace and quiet of the Lido. The hotel itself was comfortable with large, air conditioned bedrooms and an excellent rooftop terrace. Although the breakfast was basic the hospitality of the staff and comfort of our rooms certainly made up for this. For families with young children (as well as teenagers as in our case), or those who want to mix sightseeing with some relaxation, this is a classy location, cheaper than Venice and far more peaceful than Lido de Jeselo. If you have a late check in, don't bother with a taxi from the Vaparetto stop though, as it's only a 20 minute straightforward walk to the hotel and there is also a bus service which runs at night. The hotel provide guests with a pass to use the private beach directly opposite; tokens are available to use the toilets and showers for a 5 euro deposit, and there are bars and cafes on the beach. We bought a parasol rather than hire one, and took advantage of the free bike hire at the hotel to see the island, which is fairly free of traffic. Staff at the hotel will provide you with a kettle if required, but without the hospitality tray. For picnic supplies, go to the Billa Supermarket on the main road from the vaparetto stop - great choice and reasonably priced. Just had a brilliant time there
“Great hotel”
This hotel is memorable for being the first hotel we have ever stayed in, home and abroad, that really has no negatives whatsoever. Lido is a lovely island and just a short boat ride from the hustle and bustle of Venice itself. The bus stops right outside the hotel or it is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the vaporetti stop. . Our room was very clean and everything worked. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant served wonderful food at a competitive price. . There is a hot-tub and sun loungers on a roof terrace although not in use when we were there in March. . The beach is across the road from the hotel and for "Death in Venice" fans, the Hotel de Bain is 5 minutes away. . We can thoroughly recommend this hotel and will certainly return.
“Lots of room for reasonable cost.”
The hotel room was huge. They promised a balcony and ours was massive. We could have fit a ping-pog table with room to play and then some. It was great having a safe place to park the car close to the hotel. Restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a nice stroll on the beach and waded into the Adriatic Sea even though the water was a little cold in early October. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Bus stop right out front took us to pier where we got a boat ride to Venice and up the Grand Canal. Only complaint was the light was out on the balcony and it put a damper on us sitting outside late at night with drinks and smokes.
“Really great!”
We loved this hotel -it was not on Venice's main island but that did not matter at all. It was a short water taxi ride away, and the restaurants were better on Lido than they were in central Venice! We would definitely stay here again. From the train station you can take a water taxi directly to the island of Lido and the hotel is about a 15 min walk from there.
