Property Amenities
Following elegant renovation work, the boutique hotel Le Isole has reopened in Fondamenta del Vin, a strategic location right in the heart of Venice, just a two-minute walk from St Mark's Square and 10 minutes on foot from Rialto Bridge. The San Zaccaria boat stop close to the hotel offers convenient access to anywhere in the city, as well as to all the inhabited islands in the Venetian lagoon.
Hotel Le Isole is within easy reach of all the main attractions Venice has to offer: St Mark's Square, the Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, Bacino Orseolo - the city's largest gondola depot - the Correr Museum and Rialto.
Located in a sixteenth-century building that was once the Benedictine monastery of San Zaccaria, the hotel retains a number of features characteristic of Gothic-Renaissance works of the period, and is named Le Isole in honour of the owner's undying love for Venice and its fascinating history: it was to le isole, the islands in the lagoon, that the local population fled from the countryside during the Barbarian invasions in the mid-fifth century B.C., without which the powerful Serenissima Republic could never have been founded. This is a delightful hotel with a sophisticated style in which traditional art and avant-garde design form a blend of rare beauty. Le Isole offers a hospitable, inviting welcome that is homely yet professional and attentive to the needs of each individual guest.
The hotel offers a choice of deluxe, classic and standard rooms. Each room is dedicated to an island in the lagoon, with the doors featuring superb reproductions of eighteenth-century engravings by Tironi, skilfully painted by a renowned Venetian craftsmen. The attractively warm atmosphere in the 16 rooms is created by the fine trumeaux, beautiful lamps and sophisticated silk lampshades by VeneziaStudium, the bathrooms in marble and Bisazza mosaics, and the pictures featuring original, contemporary views of Venice by the artist Matteo Bertelli. All of this is combined with cutting-edge technology, LCD TV with SKY channels and Wi-Fi internet access.
The delightful, cosy, tastefully furnished breakfast room is enhanced by the original view over the spacious, country-style internal courtyard, a rare privilege in Venice, where the delicious buffet breakfast may be served on milder mornings.
Characterised by elegance and attention to detail, Hotel Le Isole offers top-class comfort and facilities, the very best that can be expected from a 3-star hotel. Reception is open to welcome guests round the clock, offering leaflets and information on the main sightseeing itineraries to explore the museums and monuments of Venice and visit the events and exhibitions taking place in the city.
The staff will also be happy to place their personal knowledge of the city at guests' disposal, suggesting attractions, itineraries, restaurants and the like that do not necessarily feature in the guidebooks.

“A Perfect Holiday”
Despite the baggage handlers loosing our bags, this was the best holiday either one of us has had in years, and this was mostly down to the hotel and it's staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was genuinely only a few minutes walk from San Marco and even better only one minutes walk from the waterbus stop. The resturants nearby range from expensive but good to expensive and bad (the pizza resturant opposite) However the Hotel makes good bellini's and much cheeper than anywhere else. The air conditioning units in the rooms were the quietest I've ever had and the monsoon shower in the bathroom was also a lovely touch. Breakfast was wonderful each morning coming down and being able to sit in the sunny couryard and eating lovely range of food really set us up for each day. The hotel was spotlessly clean and always tidy and I think if we go back to Venice mainland again we'd go back to this hotel to stay.
“Great hotel in nice location”
I would happily stay at this hotel again. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from St. Mark's square or the San Zaccariah vaporetto. Breakfast was served from 0700 to 1100. It was a nice buffet selection in the typical European style. They would also cook eggs and bacon for you. The only downside I had was that the wifi signal was weak in my room.
“Fantastico”
We made a last minute booking through expedia for this hotel before an Adriatic cruise.Posiion great, and quiet, newely renovated, staff like family, especially breakfast wait staff.Stayed three nights, good value rate thoroughly recomend
“Hotel Isole Venise : un excellent choix”
Accueil très agréable, personnel parlant français et présent pour toutes questions/renseignements. Situation idéale. Confortable et propre.
“a very pleasant experience!”
All reviews listed are very accurate for this hotel. Very close to local restaurants, bars and shopping area. Staff very pleasant, recommendation for restaurants were excellent. The buffet breakfast was perfect. Also being able to help yourself to tea coffee and biscuits during the day was a bonus! The cleanliness of the hotel was spotless. For example, staff paid attention to detail, there was always someone around cleaning up after everyone!
“Superb Hotel!”
I chose this hotel to celebrate a special birthday and was not disappointed. The rooms were lovely, very clean and cosy warm with a modern bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent and free tea and coffee are provided in the bar. They also gave me a lovely bouquet of flowers, a bottle of champagne and glass gift to celebrate my birthday which was a lovely surprise. The location of the hotel is good with all the tourist sites close by.
“Best position and great hotel”

“Great stay”
Great location, very friendly staff. Very nice boutique hotel, we will come back.
“A gorgeous little oasis in the heart of Venice”
Hotel Le Isole is a bit hard to find at first, as there is no sign outside, just one on the mat outside the front door, but once you find it, it is worth it! Situated just a minute from the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop and a few minutes walk from the Piazza San Marco, the location couldn't be any better. But while the location is central, the street is mostly a quiet one, away from all the tourists. The hotel itself Is beautifully decorated with sleek modem touches, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished, and the breakfasts were the best I had in the 10 days I spent Italy. There is also a 24 hour tea and coffee self service available for guests, as well as a gorgeous patio for use by the guests, which unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of, as it was raining for most of our stay there. We got wonderful recommendations for restaurants from the front desk staff, who also were very helpful with other information about the city. I just can't say enough good things about this gorgeous little oasis in the heart of bustling Venice!
“Very good”
We stayed for three nights in November. Selected the hotel based on trip advisor reviews and price. Breakfast was very good, location is excellent and the room was nicely furnished. Our only negative comment is the location of some of the rooms overlooking the campo san provolo - there are two restaurants and bars that were a bit noisy in the evenings and mornings. Through the night is was quite enough. I suspect this is probably a common sympton of most accomodation in Venice. Otherwise, it was very good. We ate at three places the hotel recommended to eat and all were excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Area:
Castello, Venice, Italy: Bordering San Marco and the Rialto and stretching east to some of Venices quietest greenest parts, Castello is the citys most varied sestiere. Its most famous aspect is the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront next to the Bridge of Sighs, with picture-postcard views onto the lagoon. Yet a few yards from the tourist hoards, the backstreets are quiet and typically Venetian. There are many outstanding churches and art collections in this area.
