“Great hotel”

Good hotel and a reasonable price for Venice.

“Great value in Venice”

Gardena Hotel is conveniently located to both the Venice train station and the Piazzale Roma, where buses and taxis to Venice unload, about a five to ten minute walk from either location. There are also two Vaporetto (public water bus) stations, less than five minutes away. Hotel is located on a side canal and is very quiet at night. It is the perfect starting point for visiting anywhere in Venice. Staff speaks English well and are extremely helpful in showing visitors how to get around. Rooms were spotless and airy; continental breakfast was excellent. Area appeared safe and secure, but always beware of pickpockets anywhere in Venice. Hotel also can arrange water taxi service (very expensive) if needed. Gardena is one of four hotels run by same company; although not inexpensive, its room rates appear to be significantly lower than comparable hotels in Venice, but you must book well in advance.

“Right off the bus stop.”

Hotel Gardena is situated within a 5 minute walk from both the train station and the bus stop. In spite of this, it has the feel of being a neighborhood hotel that is tucked in on a side canal. Easy access to vaporetto and the Grand Canal. Helpful staff, good restaurants nearby, solid value.
