Here are the pros of this hotel. - close to Richmond night market (which is why we intended on staying here) - pool area for the kids - clean rooms - nice valet attendants Here are the pros of this hotel - lack of personality from the front desk staff (during my check in, I have mention 3 times it was my first time staying at the resort. None of those times, did she offer to give me a map of the hotel even tho it is small. But at least be informative. At the end I asked for the map.) - Racism. my friends whom stayed there with us. We’re in the elevator, speaking our language (not English) to discuss where to go eat. 2 Caucasian girls in the elevator whom we do not know said “Ching Chong”. We laughed it off, mind u I am an Asian American. - food court was meh - breakfast at the buffet was definitely a NO! I would not recommend this place to my friends. But if you want a clean resort and nice pool area then could be for you. I will never stay here again… pool and clean rooms don’t beat the lack of customer service and rude guests.

I always have a good time here. Parking is difficult with a tall vehicle, and I had to pay to park outside.

I don’t usually write reviews. It was a disappointing stay for us. The parking was far. We lugged our things for about a block and half from the parkade to the hotel. There was only ONE working elevator on a busy May long weekend. The pool did not have any towels for the guests. The food choices were surprisingly limited. No one answered the phone at the front desk. For the price we paid… I was really expecting a much better experience.

Wouldn’t come back. It’s not a resort and the bar staff at the casino will mark down times when you drink and not allow more than a drink an hour. Babysitting adults.

Me: "Where would you prefer to live? [our home city] or Vancouver?" My 4 year old: "I prefer to live in... this hotel!" We had a blast at the River Rock hotel during May long weekend. Our little one loved the swimming pool, and we had the bonus of having a room right above the SkyTrain and in the flight path of planes taking off from YVR... built-in free entertainment! Really close to places we like to visit in Richmond too... restaurants, shopping, Richmond Night Market. Plus easy access to the highway to go into the city. Our room was clean and comfortable. Check-in/out was easy too. My only criticism is the layout of the resort meant a bit of a long walk each day to get to the parking lot (across the street and then on the other side of the resort), and the swimming pool was tricky to find. Signage could be clearer. Also the elevators in the parking lot were broken, along with some of the elevators in the resort itself.

We stayed for one night and were very excited to use the pool/hot tub/waterslide. The day we arrived, there were no towels available in the pool so we called the operator and asked for some to be sent. By the time we were ready to get out, there were still no towels, and my husband went to search for some. He ended up running into a hotel staff who was bringing towels from the fitness centre (hand towels.) We went back the next morning after breakfast and still no towels, and laundry bin was overflowing. Very underwhelmed.

Carpets up the stairs and to the spa/gym:pool.need to be changed. Dirty and old does not make for the appearance of a high end spa. Bathroom mirror did not get cleaned during our stay otherwise very pleasant stay

I rarely leave reviews but this experience deserved one. I booked this hotel for one night. They are under major maintenance and construction and start at 7 am. They also charge a fee for using credit cards. I would not recommend this hotel

Great staff. Nice hotel but a few issues. Breakfast with my kids was a serious pain. Sunday morning our only option was the a la cart menu in the dining area of the restaurant which was tiny, and jammed full, with a line up. Or, the buffet was $50 each for brunch so - no thanks. Lots of construction. Eg both pool Change rooms closed. Also, beware. You can’t watch a hockey game in the bar/restaurant because there are NO screens! The pool and the room was great though and everyone was nice. 6/10 for me because dining was so bunged up.

The hotel has a unique and fun pool that the kids enjoyed. The sky train station is on site which is unique and very convenient. The main restaurant was under construction in May 2024 during our stay which was unfortunate.

The lady on reception was in training - she was wonderful and so kind. I was even upgraded which was a treat! The rooms are always clean and the beds so very comfortable. I always stay at River Rock when I'm in Vancouver - I will be back at the beginning of June!!

Excellent service, super clean and constable rooms. The only negative was the restaurant on Sunday, we spent an hour and a half waiting in line to be seated because it was supposedly by reservation. Hotel staff must inform guests at check-in that they need to make reservations for the restaurant from Friday to Sunday.

The highlight of staying in this hotel was that my teen was awoken to a mouse crawling on his head... if there's one, there's many .. safe to assume. Upon letting concierge know, room cleaning services was offered but they ended up just moving us to a different room altogether.. I didn't make a fuss, I didn't ask for a discounted rate. We book here because of how conveniently it is near Richmond Night Market (5 minute walk)... for those who do not want to stress parking. Our first time and our last booking here. I always check my rooms for signs of bed bugs but new fear unlock, have to check for mice droppings too now...

Our room was not very clean and there was pealing paint in the bathroom shower and the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling breakfast was very poor and the service was not good

Would be more convenient when checking out to just leave keys in room or to have express checkout box on 4th floor as it is a pain to go down to lobby to hand in keys then have to go back up to get to skytrain, particularly at 6am in the morning.
