location and viewPosted 29-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, Water views and clean. Bell men were awesome with our bags and bikes .
Cons: I wish the room had better sound proofing.
Location: Breakfast -Bellagio's(close,$), Lunch -Teahouse in Stanley Park $$(stroll the beach). Dinner- *Absynthe Bistro $$, Cactus Club(CH)$$$,*Hawksworth $$$$
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Downtown/Convention center and the water view all of which were just as expected. We had read mixed reviews about the staff but found everyone to be very polite and helpful (especially the door/bell men). The things to be aware of are noise and soft beds. We had a harbor view which was spectacular but found the cruise ships and sea planes to be quite loud from 7:30am -7pm. If you get up early, and don't plan on napping, this shouldn't be a concern for you. The nights were perfectly quiet. I prefer a firm mattress and this super soft one left me with a sore back. My husband, however, said it didn't bother him at all. I am glad we didn't rent a car. This is a very bike-able city and the cabs averaged $15-20 for almost everything (not airport). We also used the Canada line (subway) and found it clean, safe and easy...also cheep! Pool was always packed:) Spa was nice but felt busy.

too many extra expencesPosted 29-Aug-2014
Pros: Room was very comfortable.
Location: Perfect location for seeing downtown.
I was excited to book -- paying upfront and discovering the hotel afterward. So, it should have been no surprise that I was offered a city view room with 2 double beds. But when I asked to upgrade to a view room, I was told it would cost another $400 for the 2 nights. I ended up upgrading to a king bed for $120 for the 2 nights. I did not think a bed upgrade would be so costly... parking prices were also atrocious and pool service was limited. I am used to more accommodating service in a 4.5 star hotel. Service was impersonal too. I won't stay there again.

High rise building with beautiful viewPosted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: All beautiful.
Location: Gastown is close, access to tour buses and boat trips.
After traveling around Washington State in four different hotels, we decided to go luxurious after our train ride from Seattle. We were reasonably close from the Amtrak train station, there was the public system but we took a 10 minute cab ride. Extremely classy, beautiful hotel on scale with the cruise ships that come in. Robes in the clean room, big bathroom. Cocktails by the scenic harbor were wonderful and at night our room was lit beautifully by the skyline and the mist over the water. We were able to have nice restaurant experiences close by, although it is a tourist area you can find the local fare if you walk left as you leave the hotel. The pool was clean and there was a service for fresh towels in the cabana. Definitely an experience to keep BC in our minds for a long time!

Beautiful Views and great locationPosted 19-Aug-2014
Cons: Updated décor and all elevators need to be working!!
Location: Close to everything
Nice hotel, but very busy due to ships in and out. A lot of waiting for elevators! Great location and views of the harbor and mountains. Hotel is nine but getting a little dated.

Great for people taking a cruisePosted 16-Aug-2014
Very nice hotel. The dining room was not part of the hotel and very expensive. We had drinks outside and it was very relaxing. Our bed was comfortable got a good nights sleep.

Good view of harbor and docked cruise shipPosted 16-Aug-2014
Cons: More convenient transportation to/from airport
Only negative note is that shuttle bus does not service Pan Pacific Hotel. Have to either take taxi from airport, or use Skytrain and walk a block with luggage.

Loved the location. We parked the car and walked.Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Parking included with the hotel room.
Location: We walked to Stanley Park, gas town and Robson Street.
After a rough start to our vacation due to our flight being cancelled and rescheduled, luggage damaged and dealing with a rude rental person we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the hotel was. When we registered, we had a very nice and informative nice man who answered every possible question we had regarding Vancouver. The hotel is in the right area to walk everywhere. We did not drive at all but instead got our exercise.

Cruise conveniencePosted 11-Aug-2014
Cons: WIFI service could be better.
Spent one night, prior to cruise voyage. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Scenic view of bay was a plus! For passengers headed to cruise ship, this hotel had a very convenient luggage option. They can send your suitcases from your hotel room directly to your cruiseship room at no extra charge. This option was so convenient. This allowed us to get rid of our heavy suitcases at 9 am and enjoy Vancouver until 3 pm, when we had to board the boat. No need to go back to bellman at hotel to pick up suitcases.
