Gorgeous view, convenient for conventions

Posted 5-Apr-2014
Pros: Location, convenient dining nearby
Location: Easy walk to Gastown, luxury shopping and varied dining options
I selected this hotel because it's located adjacent to the Vancouver Convention Center -- the two buildings share the ground floor -- making it very convenient for me to get to and from my conference each day. There are plenty of dining and shopping options within an easy walk. And surprisingly the Starbucks downstairs never had a very long wait. My room was very spacious and had a gorgeous view of the harbor. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, convenient location

Overall great experience; Loved the waterfront location. My only complaints would be : 1) Wi-Fi was not included, and once purchased wasn't a reliable connection. 2) There were no vending machines and the shops in the hotel/attached buildings closed early which was very inconvenient

Good location, good facilities

Posted 30-Mar-2014
Pros: Comfy beds and showers
Cons: The view, for the price, I would expect complimentary wifi access
Location: Location is excellent and close to major attraction sites in Vancouver
Attending a conference at the hotel, and location is excellent, good sized room, comfy beds but was missing a wow factor for a high end hotel. The check in process was smooth, the elevator buttons are a bit stiff however, need to press numerous times to work. The outdoor window view on the 8th floor is little to be desired, there is an open view from the outside can view inside, and feel I would have to draw the curtains for privacy. Other than that I don't mind the room and service. The pool was a little cold for a heated pool, but jacuzzi is nice. The lighting is fair, and shower is comfortable.

Beautiful hotel with the best views in Vancouver

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: Location and views
Location: Gastown, Robson Street and Stanley Park all very close
My family of four went to Vancouver for a quick weekend getaway. The hotel provides a location that is central to dining, shopping and outdoor activity all within walking distance.

Loved the pool!

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: I loved the outdoor heated pool and hot tub with a view of the mountains. Every staying here should try the pool.
Cons: We would have liked access to a store late in the evening or at least vending machines as the only source of snacks was the mini bar.
We are local to the lower mainland and decided to spend a night downtown to celebrate a special occasion. We had a very nice experience. All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and we had a view of the city and the inlet and mountains.

Charge for everything parking, bottle water ect.

Posted 9-Mar-2014
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Don't charge for the bottled water in the room. You are already spending enough just for the hotel and amenities.
Location: Was good.
Lobby was very loud. Staff seemed overly busy and not really wanting to go that extra step.
