Great Location and Views

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Location. Location. Location.
Cons: Conference rooms were very cold - even though chilly outside. NA map of underground restaurants & stores connected to the hotel at check-in.
Location: Convenient to the Canada Line for travel to and from YVR. Could print out a boarding pass in Canada Place Lobby on way to the train!
I stayed at the hotel for a business conference and the rooms and catering was great. I never ventured out of the hotel during my stay. The hotel upgraded me to a harbour view room - outstanding. Rooms are very spacious too.

Good connection to cruise ship

The hotel was excellent. And, all we had to do to get our luggage from our hotel room to ship's stateroom was to call the bell captain--and of course have our luggage tagged with the stateroom number.

Great location

Hotel has a beautiful view and a good location. Its close to everything. Staff on duty was a little bit rude but the others are very nice. Housekeeping was really nice. Overall a good hotel and pricy.

Very helpful staff. Upgrade to the suite at club level with minimal fee. The complimentary breakfast at the club level is excellent. Everyday breakfast just like Sunday Brunch.

Pros: beautiful
Cons: List of local restaurants, sights, in the room

Nice central hotel overlooking the harbor

Posted 4-Nov-2014
Pros: Location! Great customer service, modern interior, cleanliness
Cons: Paid WiFi is disgusting nowadays!
The hotel as such is pretty modern, it is located on a pier in the Vancouver Harbor and occupies several floors above the Canada Place Conference Center and Cruise Departure Terminal. Nice things: Immaculately clean, very friendly and efficient customer service, modern and attractive interior, multiple cafes and restaurants on the premises, perfect location If you get an off-season, pre-paid, no-cancellation deal like we did, you are really lucky, because the location is perfect, in the very centre of the city, and the quality/price ratio is great. Other hotels nearby are less spectacular and more expensive... And if you are lucky enough to get a room upgrade as an Expedia Elite Plus member, you will also get a stunning harbor view! Things to be aware of: 1. There is a huge, convenient parking garage underneath the building, and you can easily pay for the parking at the reception desk, getting a special, n-hassles in/out daily pass for the duration of your stay. BUT parking there IS expensive: We paid CAD 39/night! And the parking elevator is separate from the hotel elevator, which is somewhat misleading. 2. Unless you are a lucky Expedia Elite Plus member, you will also have to pay separately for the Internet connection, which I personally find highly irrelevant and arm-twisting nowadays. Just be normal people and provide it for free, as every lower-end hotel or motel does, or just charge me 10 extra dollars for the room and provide free, easy-to-connect WiFi Internet.

Great view

Posted 1-Nov-2014
Solid 4 stars performance all over. Big comfortable room with astounding 180 degrees view of the downtown AND harbor including the Lions and Lions bridge. Only downside: paid Internet connection and pricey minibar.. Great location too, just over the convention center. Short walk to Stanley Park and Seawall. Near subway (skytrain), ferry, heliport, and hydroplane airport.

Wonderful view of bay

Posted 24-Oct-2014
We loved our room on the 23 rd floor, the delicious breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvres and wine. Very friendly and helpful staff and the view overlooking bay was magnificent.
