Cockroaches everywhere. Shower walls were gross. Smelt really bad of some weird odor. Very bad experience.

If you happen to get a room close to Kingsway it’s quite loud 24/7. Also the door handle to my sons room kept falling out

Hi Lynne,Hmm we just did a mattress replacement project so that's super weird. I'll have maintenance take a look! Next time try one of our larger suites - we have everything up to full kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms :)

Musty.
The floors were eco friendly but the rooms smelled musty and like mildew as no air conditioning and the windows were closed. I think the carpets in the two closets are very old and musty. No ice machine on the property. No chairs in the rooms. Only a stool on wheels so sat out in picnic table but hornets kept coming by. The bathroom was updated and nice.

Run Away, Don't Stay Here. Whatever You Pay Elsewhere Will Be Better Than This Place. Don't Need to List Dislikes. All Dislikes at 2400. Rooms Small, Old, Dark, with Marijana/Tobacco Smells, cancellation policy enforced to the letter - cause they know you won't like it here. if the outside temp hits 75 degrees, you may need to prop your doors open cause the room may be too hot, since THERE IS NO AC! Don't be fooled, read all reviews.

Hi Mark,It's true AC wasn't really a thing in 1946 when we were built, and the standard room you booked is pretty bare bones, but I find we are generally quite accommodating on our refund policy exactly because we know we aren't for everyone. I looked in our messages and didn't see anything from you so I am not sure of your experience, but we ensure we treat people right.

Hi Neeraj,Thanks for the note. It is true we do not have AC or daily full cleans, but we do have staff 24/7 for requests, and housekeeping does knock daily to inquire on any needs they can assist with like garbage or linens. A cockroach in the kitchen is surprising, but I have alerted our pest control vendor just in case - thanks for letting me know! Maintenance will also look into the lock. Be well,

Staff were curt but not exactly friendly. Drug user shaking in the parking lot. Shower faucet was constantly dripping. Got woken up by the sound of an animal scratching at the walls. Would never stay again.

It is cool that motion picture movies and tv shows were filmed using this hotel and location. The place needs upgrades for sure- windows broken, broken tables, broken doors etc. Bedding and tub clean but the rest of the place looked/felt unclean. Staff was nice.

The young lady at checking in was very helpful,it was a rather afternoon when we arrived and on entering the room we were greeted by a very hot dilapidated kitchen with a huge old electric cooker and a noisy old fridge freezer that was turning out an enormous amount of heat,in the cupboards that needed replacing were 2 large plates,3 smaller plates,1 bowl, 2 mugs and 1 glass which were mostly stuck to the shelves.The young lady at checking in provided another bowl.The living room, bedroom and bathroom were ok especially the bathroom with the clean, fluffy white towels.Sadly there was no air conditioning but again the young lady at checking in came to our aid by finding us with an electric fan.The young lady at checking in helped us again by ordering us a taxi.

The motel was very quiet - a group of cottages attractively painted but obviously pretty old. We were there 11 nights and the sheets were never changed. We asked for fresh towels and on departure were charged $57 for dirty towels which they claim had to be replaced. Had they no bleach? There was one glass. Lights out in the kitchen. Our friend in the next cottage had mould in the shower. Quite a distance from downtown but we were prepared for that.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Location was perfect for our needs. They are working on the outside to fix it up. The condition of the room on the inside was clean but in desperate need of a renovation.
