“Nice quiet motel”

The motel was well located and very clean, pleasant and quiet.

“Nice Stay”

Our room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. My husband and I both have problems with being stiff in the mornings but we were able to move easily when we got up. The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is an older building but in very good condition, as was the room. I would recommend this Econolodge to others. The only problem we had was the coffee pot in the room had water in it already and it looked like it had been there a while. Coffee in the lobby was suppose to be ready at 6:30 but wasn't. No big deal but could be if we would have been depending on it.

“Loud area”

The rooms are not at all sound insulated. Street racing and birds making noise all through the night makes it hard to sleep in this hotel. There aren't many options in this area, though.

“Don't Go For The Pool”

We went for the pool and because they accept pets. We were going for my orientation at UT Martin, so we were just looking for someplace to lounge when I wasn't at the campus. The gate to the pool had a padlock on it. We had it removed, my mom and I went to the campus, leaving my aunt there, & we came back not two hours later to use the pool. The pool was locked again & it had a sign posted that the Department of Health closed it down. In two hours? They just psychically knew the pool had been unlocked? OK, maybe they do have super powers, but I doubt they would close and open the pool so many times that the tape on the sign was yucky - like it had been used and reused multiple times. Next we find out that the drinks we put in the fridge are still hot. The television is fuzzy, like it's transmitting from the 1930's, & HBO is a black screen. That night my mom and my aunt take showers. I didn't either day - the bathtub was rank, and on the floor behind the toilet were dead things. I wasn't getting close. Also the sink was filthy. One thing that DOES operate is the air conditioner. Next day the maids said the pool was open & someone was cleaning it. But the sign was up. After they left, someone from the front desk called & said the pool was open. We went down & it was locked. The front office kept saying the pool was open. After a visit to the office it's finally opened. And the pool was FILTHY. The stairs were slimy& the floor of the pool was caked in dirt.
