Nice small hotel with a good breakfast and big roo
Stayed here for a night as had a stop over in Trieste for a flight. Hotel staff recommended good local restaurants to go. Well placed for restaurants and walking to the centre. We got the bus to the airport and this was about a 5 minute walk from the bus station.

Great place to stay
This hotel is located close to the bus/train station and a short walk from the city center. The bus going to the Miramare castle stops nearby. My room was small, even tiny, but it had a good size shower, a toilet, and even a bidet. Windows in the room were sound proof, so no noise penetrating at night. The hotel is decorated with some good abstract art. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Overall my experience was above my expectations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good location and helpful staff. However, rooms resemble that of a hostel. Very old and tired rooms: soft furnishings looked and smelled dusty, so you wouldn't want to touch them, and the pillows and bed were very hard and uncomfortable. Cold buffet breakfast was OK.

Comfortable, clean, well managed hotel near centre
Had a lovely large, clean room and everything worked. The staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had the best range of food I had seen in years. The coffee machine made good coffee. you will enjoy this hotel.

Nice hotel in city centre
Hotel is conveniently located in city center. Although it doesn't have its own parking, guests can park at a nearby garage at a discount rate (just ask a friendly front desk staff). Room is spacious and clean, and I loved their collection of modern arts.

Good place for short visit
People were very helpful great location to train station and bus. There was 3 of us so the extra twin in front of our double was cramp. Breakfast was good but for the small room and people crowding around the food. They also let us leave our luggage. So we were very happy with Colombia hotel and would stay again

Good location
Only a couple of minutes' walk from the bus and train stations and just a short walk to the centre of Trieste so ideally located for travelling on to other places or for a short trip to Trieste itself. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Rooms and corridors are beginning to look a little bit tired but are a good size the beds are spacious and comfortable.

Location is good, hotel is not really a business hotel. No English speaking television channels and no desk in room, just a small table with a couple of chairs. Staff were very nice, free internet was great and it worked fine. For convenience to the train station, it is good. Older furnishings and hard bed.

Great for comfortable stay
Clean central hotel with friendly staff - breakfast was great with cereals, croissants, fruit, cold cuts, juices and more. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Good value in convenient location
Good value for money in a convenient location. Entrance to hotel promises much but room was quite small. Clean and comfortable enough and spa bath was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast ok but not great and breakfast room too small, had to wait a couple of mins for a table each day. Staff were extremely helpful and reception v efficient. Overall good for the money.

Afforable city centre hotel
It was a flying visit so can't really comment on the city. The staff were more than helpful and allowed us to check in 2 hrs early. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Pleasant place to stay
I was only there for a night, but I had a really pleasant stay in Hotel Colombia. The employees at reception were always helpful, and held my bags for me for a few hours after I checked out. The room was comfortable, although I couldn't get my tv to work. I did find some suspicious hairs in the bidet and bathtub, and it didn't look like anyone had cleaned under the bed. Breakfast was great though. I usually stay in youth hostels, but I kind of wanted a room to myself and I didn't mind spending a little extra (it was still a good value, when compared to the other hotels in Trieste). Elevator always seemed to take forever, so I usually ended up taking the stairs to my room on the 3rd floor. I did think one of the paintings to the right of the front desk was a little inappropriate for the lobby area. Overall, cute hotel, good location, helpful staff, and good value for the area.

On the plus side - good location and good sized room. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. The hotel represents good value. On the negative side, our room was a bit 'tired', probably needing redecoration and the air-conditioner was poor. Traffic noise can be a problem if the windows are kept open.

Good hotel in a great location
Nice staff, friendly, free wifi. Nice large room with good shower and amenities. Breakfast are quite nice too. Hotel is trying for an alternative modern art theme which doesn't quite work, but the rooms are fine. Good location and easy access to station and tram. We really enjoyed our two days in Trieste and loved the trip on the tram (quite an adventure). Make sure you try one of the little bars near the main square and have an Aperol Spritz, very refreshing!

Tremendous value, great location
The modern motif and clean, crisp lines made for a very inviting hotel space, as did the great proximity (2 blocks) to the train station. My room was quite spacious for a 'double for singles' with a full queen sized bed and clean and orderly. The bathroom was also quite spacious with an almost American-sized shower. The hotel staff were quite courteous throughout my short stay, and they were responsive to my special room request. The hotel was also in easy walking distance to the canal area, the pedestrian mall, the waterfront and the main Piazza in Trieste. Finally, an outstanding value for the quality.

Good place for a stay in Trieste
I was only staying one night and the stay was quite restful. The hotel is a short walk to the station as well as the Town Square and restaurants. It has excellent Wi-Fi reception in the lobby which is free. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel is clean and helpful.

The Hotel was clean and the foyer and breakfast area were great. The room was a little dated but was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Parking is off-site, but easy enough to get to once you know where it is and a good price compared with other places. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed the Hotel from the moment I arrived . The people on the Desk ,day and evening were very pleasant and helpful. My room was nice ,and very comfortable. The cleaning staff were very good as was the lady in the resturaunt. I would have no hesitation in stay there again if I return to Trieste in the future.

Moderately Priced Accommodation in the Center of Trieste
Fairly close to train and bus station. A/C worked well. Internet WiFi generally functioned well w. some few outages. Need to obtain fresh Internet voucher each day somewhat tedious. Breakfast buffet w. cappuccino met expectations. Front desk somewhat friendly despite language barrier. OK accommodation for price w. central location. Room OK but not spacious w/o view. Furnighings and carpets were near the end of their useful lives.

Nice Modern Hotel with Friendly Service
Almost everything about this hotel is great: the decor is modern and interesting; the rooms are spacious; there is tea/coffee with cookies downstairs; and the hotel staff is helpful and friendly. We were there off-season (at the end of May), and the hotel was a bit empty, so they gladly changed our rooms upon a noise complaint. You have to park the car in a garage a few blocks away (the hotel has a deal for half of the daily price: 8E). I would definitely stay there again. The only drawback: we stayed two nights, and they did not clean our room or change the towels.

Great Hotel, Amazing Surroundings
A very nice hotel conveniently located near the train station and city center. The personnel were very helpful and extremely kind, they were especially attentive to the marathon runners and even offered special breakfast times and extended stays (day and a half) free of charge. I stayed with a few friends for just one night but I would definitely return!

This hotel is not bad at all. But I'm not impressed. The room was clean and small. Small bed, small shower. I got a non smooking room (apparently they didn't had it before). The complementary breakfast was good, with nice choices. The check in and check out very easy and fast. The location ist very central, near the train and bus stations. It was good for my one night stay.

Considerato il rapporto qualità prezzo lo consiglierei, senza dimenticare l'ottima posizione. La zona è tranquilla. Il personale è disponibile ed affabile. Non hanno un parcheggio, ma un'area sosta per mezz'ora davanti alla hall. Loro poi indirizzano in un'autorimessa nella zona, o si puo' anche parcheggiare a pochi metri, in una piazza ma con parchimetro. Ci ritornerei!
