While the location and outside areas of the hotel were lovely, our room was shabby and hopelessly out of date. The furniture was chipped and the in room refrigerator was a relic from the 60’s. There were no glasses in the room so requested some from the restaurant. The most disappointing aspect was the total lack of service at breakfast. There were no cups utensils, or place settings at the tables, but at least 3 or more servers standing around. At no time did they greet us or offer assistance. We had to ask for what we needed and were rewarded with sullen expressions. What was most distressing was watching the servers attend to a large Italian family, quickly setting their tables and serving them coffee, while we were completely ignored. It was shocking after the fine service we received in other hotels. One positive note the restaurant service in the evening was excellent!
