The rooms are quite small but it's located at a really convenient spot, very close to the stations/public transport and shopping.

It was good having food below and a drink machine in the lobby. It was quiet and close to ueno park which was nice.

Easy access to shopping and restaurants. Room was nice. I think pretty big for Japanese hotels. Can ship luggage from front desk so you don’t need take it to convenience store to ship. Only one thing I was disappointed was there was unhappy front desk agent. This person’s approaches felt unwelcome. Other than that it was very pleasant stay.

Small rooms, but you're not in Tokyo to stay in the hotel. Staff are helpful and respectful. The location is what makes this place key. Short walks to all the train stations. Made it easy to get around. Would definitely stay again

Back to stay 2nd time in one month. The receptionists were not as friendly as they used to be. My room was not as clean as it should be. Sleepers from the previous guest were found under the bed. Housekeeping forgot to leave bags of clean towels and water bottles by the door. I understand it’s a busy season, but the standard of service should have been affected.

I’ve stayed at this property many times and has been the only hotel I’d stay whenever I travel to Ueno. The only two negative things I’d like to mention on this visit is that the hotel staff refused to give me a spare key to enable me to leave it in the power sensor by the entrance. The hotel staff pointed to my wallet and said I could use one of the credit cards instead, and guess what, I had left it behind when I checked out the hotel. Luckily, my other family members were staying longer, they were able to retrieve it for me. One other thing was the ability to adjust the room temperature. It was between 50s to 60s during my visit. The air unit was locked in heat setting where no one was allowed to adjust. I felt I was in sauna, even with the air purifier turned on could not ease the situation. I have stayed at this property many times and had no such issue before. The hotel should consider letting the staying guests make their own choice of how comfortable they want to feel inside the room, just like how hot or cold they want the water to shower in.

Nice location, easy to locate. Hotels are surrounded by lots of great restaurants and bars. Only make us uncomfortable is the air-conditioning are centralized controls, and windows are fully sealed off. We were felt suffocated when it blowing hot air.

Steps away from Okachimachi station with great dining and shopping options nearby. Room is cramped but typical by Tokyo standards. Building looks new and modern, rooms are very clean. Breakfast is served in the adjacent cafe from a set menu. Tasty but portions are a bit small. Be prepared to wait quite a while for the elevator and laundry room. The machines are front loading combined washer/dryers which means cycles take forever or the machine is always breaking down. I had to stand by to rearrange my laundry in the washer because it would stop and show an error every time the load became unbalanced. Can be quite frustrating if you need to do a quick load of laundry while on your trip. Overall it was a decent hotel but the laundry and elevator issue is enough to consider other options for my next stay.

Other than the convenience of the location and the housekeeping staff, the rest are average or slightly below average. The staff at the lobby look grumpy most of the time, but I understand that they are flooded with people. There are racks to choose the type pillow you prefer but always seems to fully taken (empty, ‘first come first served’). Some staff have limited command of English even though their location is the prime spot of tourist attractions. Housekeeping staff were wonderful and willing to assist as much as possible.

Our stay at Tosei hotel was fantastic. The room was very clean and location was convenient. The walk to akihabara was only 11 minutes one way. There were endless places to shop and eat, we had an awesome time.

The room is cleaned daily and it is quite clean and new. There is enough space to put my luggage. It is within short walking distance from the train station. there are many options for food nearby.
