This hotel had very kind staff who did what they could to better our situation. Our biggest issue with this location is that the room was set to 28 Celsius and we had no way of decreasing the temperature since the building was set to only heat. The desk staff gave us fans but could not change the setting for the temperature. After a few days and several complaints later, the room air setting was changed from heat to cool but still was difficult to get the room to a comfortable level. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our curtains were broken so sunshine blazed through the window each morning making it hard to sleep. The area around the faculty was safe but had limited dining or shopping. There was 2 metro stations within a 10 minute walk but the main station needed to move around the city was a 15 minute walk which is not easy with luggage. The facility had coin operated laundry with a dryer. Wifi was good. The facility also had luggage storage. Not a bad place to stay overall but the temperature issue and lack of close handicap accessible transportation really decreased my likelihood to recommend this hotel.

The windows do not open and this is one of those buildings where you cannot control the heat in your room. The front desk clerk, with the help of my translator app, brought me a fan, but it was still sweltering.

Location was good easy access. Room was typical business style room in Tokyo. The room that I stayed in had an irritating noise of water running through pipes in the building. It was non stop, and caused problems with sleep.

Was alright.
We booked this hotel only for one night. We had a very cold and uncomfortable room. The mattress was very stiff. Very few amenities were included, and the complementary breakfast was rationed. Each hotel guest was only allowed a certain amount of what was offered (prepacked Lawson sandwiches and breads). The area was alright. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Convenient location 1 minute from Shibakoen station. 500Y cab ride from Hamamatsuchō Station 浜松町駅. Close to Ginza but no tourist crowd. 5 min walk to Zōjō-ji 大本山 増上寺. Tokyo tower just west. You can catch JR rail at Tamachi station...avoiding crowd at Tokyo station. However you may need to learn some japanese when asking for direction/help.. Hotel is in a safe feeling neighborhood next to girls college, elementary school behind. Single and double bed rooms are spacious with luggage. View from corner rm is great. Breakfast of rice cake or sandwich is perfect. All non smoking. Cab is readily available. Jonanthan rest. is around corner,accept credit card-do, Western n eastern food avail. food is good. Great for late arrival looking to have dinner. Lawson is near there.

Has luggage rack. Nice single or double bed room. Convenient location. Close to Ginza without all the tourist crowds. Great rice cake or sandwich from Lawson for breakfast. Jonathan restaurant around corner, accepts credit card. Most rest. closes early so J is great for arriving late. Food is great, I had their chicken salad. 500Y cab ride from Hamamatsuchō Station, 浜松町駅 to hotel. Shibakoen station within 1 min walk. Taxi is readily available. Next to Rolls dealership...what more can I say...8-)

My dream holiday was only made better by the excellent service I got whilst staying here for 2 weeks. I won't be looking anywhere else to stay upon my return to the beautiful country of Japan.

No reservation on Arrival
12:30 am arriving at the hotel and the last thing that you want to hear is that there is no Expedia booking. Luckily the guy on reception did speak great English at this time. I showed my booking on the app, I emailed them my receipt of payment. But they had no name on their Expedia list for me that day. I had been traveling since 0800 that morning so the last thing I wanted to do was hang around however I was asked to take a seat. About 20 minutes later they still did not have my reservation? However they did believe that I had one and that they would sort it out next day. So then they had to try to find a room that was available for 5 nights.... 10 minutes later I was given a room on the 3rd floor. Very basic inside but as I was mainly working outside I only really needed the room to sleep and shower etc. What would have happened if there was no rooms left? Early hours of Monday morning would have been a challenge to find an alternative. Next morning I went to the reception to check on my reservation but this time a different guy could not speak "Engrish"...! So I said I would go back later. That evening upon my return they said that they had sorted the problem. No reason given - not sure whether hotel at fault or Expedia. So apart from the reservation issue, the other point of irritation was that each time you left and arrived you had to go to reception to drop off / collect your room key. This was a bit annoying as it took up un-necessary time.

Near the subway, walking distance to JR East, convenience stores (Lawson, Family Mart) and coffee shop (Doutor Coffee). This area in Minato is very quiet so getting a good sleep after a long day is never an issue. You can see the Tokyo Tower from our room. Light breakfast is served and there is a water station available. Nicest and most accommodating hotel staff we have ever encountered. Definitely value for money and will book this hotel again when we come back in Tokyo.

Mita Kaikan Hotel is a quiet, basic, clean, with full bath, WiFi and breakfast. Centrally located in Minato and close to Shiba Park and the Mita, Asakusa and Yamanote subway lines. Although quiet, there are enough places to find a bite to eat or convenience stores like Lawson and Family Mart/Famima. In terms of service and breakfast (choice of sandwiches or rice balls along with beverages and soups), it is basic but consider it's not typically included at most hotels and the staff is friendly. I was at the hotel for 4 days and it was a good stay as the price was about the same or less than a typical capsule hotel which has less privacy. I'd stay again.

Clean hotel near Tokyo Tower
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and nice. One of them even enjoyed speaking English with us even though my partner understands Japanese. The room we stayed in was pretty ordinary, with a desk and TV. But it was clean and that's the most important thing for us. The Tokyo Tower is very close to the hotel and we could see the top half of it from our room window. The only negative thing about this hotel that stands out is that they want you to return the room key to the front desk when you leave and pick it up again when you return. I wish I could just keep the key with me, especially when I'm just making a short trip from the hotel. However, some people may like this policy since it prevents you from losing the key.

Great staff, good location
The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. They allowed me to store my luggage before and after check-out while I explored the area. The room was nice and cozy, the bed comfortable. It was in a good location for exploring a large part of the city.

Worst breakfast ever! Unclean, unsafe.
The people were nice, but that is the only thing that I can say was great. The bathroom shower curtain was moldy and stained. I found a few hairs in the bed. The lobby is on the second floor, with the main entrance unwatched. No cameras in sight and the main elevators accessible from the first floor. No automatic lock on the room door. The area was deserted at night- literally no one else walking around. I came from JR, which is a ten minute walk. The final problem was the"continental breakfast." What a joke! Two rice balls or one sandwich from the convenience store- still with the price printed on_ plus instant soup from a squeeze packet and coffee. They did make the coffee. Stay somewhere else even if you have to pay more for breakfast.
