“Exceeded our Expectations of a Beach Hotel”
We stayed at this hotel over Easter 2009 right before peak tourist season so it was not too crowded. The staff was quite pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful. We had an oceanview room right above the beach. What an incredible view. The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room and bathrooms were modern and clean. Flat screen tv and internet service available in your room. Free internet service in the lobby at shared computers. The breakfast was delicious and chef would make eggs or omelets to your liking. No complaints whatsoever and we would stay there again.
“Carlton Beach hotel...magnificent!”
The Carlton Beach hotel was magnificent! The young ladies working at the reception greeted us with a great smile and were extremely pleasant. The lobby and restaurant is stylish. And our room and bathroom was comfortable and clean. The price was perfect.

“Great location”
Loved the Carlton Beach hotel for a weekend getaway. We were in Holland to attend Keukenhof Flower Gardens and this wasn't too far away and offered lots to do in the evening after looking at flowers all day. The only thing I would "complain" about is the price of their breakfasts and parking. 17 euros for parking per day in a tiny lot that wasn't secure other than by an armthat lets you in and out; and 22 euros for breakfast per person. I just couldn't see spending around $70 for breakfast!!! Otherwise, fabulous place to stay, great location, and would stay there again!
“Fine Hotel”
Conveniently located near Tram/Bus terminal- 2min walk. Easy to get here from Schipol airport. 2 Min walk to Scheveningen beach. Rooms very clean and well maintained. Will go again,
“Wonderful hotel for relaxing holydays!”
It is a very nice hotel in a maritime style right on the beach. Takes approx 20-30 minutes to the city centre of the Hague, public transport goes regularly and frequently. Clean, well-maintained, freindly and helpfull staff. There are a number of good restaurants around, casino and a coffee shop in 10 minutes walk. There is also a relatively large aquarium ("See World") in 600 - 700 metres. To conclude, I would recommend the hotel for families and those who like nature and quiet vacations!
“Good beach hotel”
This a good beach hotel as there are not numerous shops and restaurants right in front of it blocking your view which is the case with one of the better known hotels on this beach. The room was comfortable but on the small side. The carpet could have been cleaner but maybe that's what you get with a beach hotel- lots of sand being tracked in. The restaurant in the lounge was decent and the buffet breakfast was good with a fair number of choices.
“Excellent sea view”
Nice hotel directly between the promenade and the clubs and bars on the beach. Despite the very vital nightlife on the beach on the weekend, the room was very quiet. From the seaside rooms you get an excellent view across the promenade and the casino. A little downer was the condition of the balcony with a quite old, used and ugly washed-out concrete floor.
“Good place to stay”
The somewhat austere outside of this hotel does not do it justice, inside it is very nice. It is well placed on the beach, next to the sand dunes with the tram terminal right outside, giving quick access to the centre of The Hague. The restaurants are pleasent although the choice of food could be a little larger.
