We've been going to the Parkview for about 15 yrs for an annual weekend in Syracuse. I believe it's been through at least two owners over that time. Its a nice generally quiet place to stay. It's clean and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. They used to have a small bar/restaurant inside for drinks and breakfast which is no longer in use. It would be nice to see it open up again to offer a free continental breakfast or to stop in for a drink at night. The price is usually quite reasonable except on a Canadian long weekend when prices typically go up alot. I would recommend the Parkview if you are staying in Syracuse. It is close to the downtown where there are many excellent restaurants and a short drive away from Destiny USA mall.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Parkview. We were in the area for our son's college graduation, and the hotel was conveniently located. We also saw a show at Syracuse Stage, and we were able to walk there from the hotel. The hotel is old but renovated. Lobby was beautiful. Room was very clean and spacious; bed was comfortable. The only problems we had were that the a/c unit was too loud (not broken, just way to noisy), and the noise we heard every time someone in the room above us flushed the toilet or ran the water was extremely annoying. Both of these issued affected our sleep. The back hallway leading to the parking lot also smelled very strongly of weed the first two nights that we were there. While the hotel architecture was charming, and staff was friendly, we will probably stay elsewhere next time we are in Syracuse.

The website mentioned the property served breakfast however it does not. Front desk staff stated unfortunately that’s an error and needs to be taken off. The first day they had only 1 elevator working and by the end of the night both elevators were broken. I had a baby with stroller and had to walk up 5 flights of stairs to my room. Huge inconvenience.

we have always stayed at the Parkview Hotel when going up to Syracuse to visit our daugther who attends college there. Not the best area, but we have always liked the vintage flair of the Parkview Hotel, and our initial stays there went well. The rooms are clean, and we have felt safe staying there. However, our latest stay gave us concerns. We arrived at around 8 pm for check-in, and there was no one at the front desk: just a sign that said "will be right back, sorry for the inconvenience". Ok - no big deal. We hung out in the lobby... but 20 minutes went by, and no one was around! I called the hotel, and sure enough, the front desk rings and rings, and I get a message that tells me that my call is important, but that they are busy assisting other customers.... Then this other guest walks into the lobby from the street, and he is followed by the employee who is working the front desk. She appears surprised to see me there "how did you get in here?" she asks.... I explained that we arrived 20 minutes ago, and that we used the front entrance to come in. She then apologizes profusely for the wait. So yeah, she was hanging out somewhere outside of the hotel, watching the front door for any guests coming in, and missed our little group.... Besides the fact that we had to wait there, this causes me concern about the safety of the guests in the hotel. Anyone could just walk inside the hotel, when the clerks are not at their posts. Very disappointed!

Your staff checking us in was delightful. The room, though, was not clean. Unfortunately, my earring fells off the bedside table and I found a gummy bear, 2 Chex mix pieces, two bottle caps and a whole lot of fist bunnies looking for the earring. The beds had mismatched sheets and pillows and were not well made. There was trash in the main hallway our entire stay. I took photos of the trash- your housekeeping needs a lot of improvement.

I stayed at this property every weekend all last year while i traveled in for work. I retuened in march for the same work, and the hotel is not in the same shape. The cleanliness of the hotel has gone down a lot. On day, outside my room in the hall it looked like someone dropped a plant...the dirt was there for 3 days. Its dusty in the rooms and the hallways often have trash in them. I reallyenjoyed staying here because of the kind staff ansld convenience, but im not sure ill carry on past this round of work

This hotel was absolutely worth it! It has a little wear and tear but it’s fine. Great location (near the University for games and downtown for events). The staff was super nice. Would recommend if you’re in town for a game or show.

Very convenient to downtown and Syracuse University - I would stay here again for this reason. However, the interior of the hotel is rather dull; too much brown color. The furniture is worn out and looking old, but the beds are comfortable.

The hotel was clean, quiet and met our needs. The area (neighborhood) was questionable. I would not walk alone after dark. Staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful with everything we needed. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Love this hotel. Good location to get to the University. Staff is amazing. Rooms are perfect - large, clean comfortable. Hotel is quiet. Showers are great. There isn't a lot for dining right around it but free parking and close to university is a huge plus.
