Hotel in Syracuse
Small hotel right by station. Fairly basic but clean, staff were very helpful and a 30 minute walk to Ortigia. Parking was free and easy opposite hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice lobby, complete with coffee bar. Classic Italian prima colazione served every morning. Be aware that as it is directly across from the train station, there will be plenry of traffic noise at night.

Great place to stay when traveling by train!
Excellent hotel for a trip to Syracuse. The hotel is across the street from the train station and a short walk to many great restaurants and tourist sites. Very friendly staff and a very nice breakfast.

Conveniently located for transport - right opposite the train station and a 1min walk from the bus station. Quite a bit of walk to the historical part of Ortigia though. Hotel quite simple and showing some aging signs, but covers the basics. I'd like to see that mastermind who put bidet 20cm in front of toilet.. Automated communication not fully sorted out - message received noted only very limited hours but the reception currently worked 8am to 9pm. I wouldn't bother with the breakfast - it's a coffee, a (half-baked) croissant and some packaged biscuits - not unusual in Italy but unlikely to keep you going if you're from abroad. Overall it's an ok option for a short stay if you don't mind being a bit further from the main tourist places.

The hotel was opposite the train station and one minute walk round the corner for the bus terminals. Ample car parking space in front of the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly. The breakfast was sufficient. The hotel was spotlessly clean.

Positives —- The hotel is opposite the train station and just around the corner from the bus station which is handy for travelling. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic! The 2 young people working in reception are particularly helpful, we can’t fault them. Negatives — Avoid room 101! The hotel is in need of a total refurbishment and looks dated and tired. The bathroom had a strange smell, the drains I think! The bedroom needed re-decorating and the bed definitely needed to be replaced!!

Good budget option in Siracusa
Immediately opposite the train station, and just around the corner from the bus station, this is quite a good base if you're planning day trips to surrounding towns using public transport. It is a budget option, so it's not luxurious, but it's clean and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is limited but good - pastries or cereal and coffee or juice. It isn't in a very touristy part of town, but you can walk to Ortigia in about 15 minutes. The wifi is a bit unreliable. I'd stay here again.

3-star value for 2-star prices
It's facing the railway station & next to the inter-city bus stands, couldn't be closer. Friendly helpful welcome, multilingual. Simple small room, but for such a low room rate it was 2-star prices for a 3-star hotel. 15 mins walk SE brings you to Ortigia, and same N to Neapolis archaeological area, both must-see in Syracuse.

Location is the key here-directly opposite the railway station & round the corner from the bus station- Provides easy access to places such as Ragusa & Noto. The room had recently been refurbished in typical Italian style .The hotel was very clean & comfortable & also had A.C. in room. Breakfast was OK & staff were friendly & spoke English. Overall, fantastic value!

It was a right choise to stay in Syracusa
When we come back to Syracusa we will stay here. It's close to railway station, not so far from main atractions and sightseeings. The staff was very helpful, and the curly girl in the reception was very good in suggesting places we should visit, food to eat, and wine to drink. The breakfast was good also. Highly recommend this hotel.

Next door 2 Bus/Train Stations!
For public transport travelers, Hotel Como is a gift, as both train & bus stations are within a block of it; further, a supermarket is just around the corner. The breakfast + coffee were quite agreeable, although the addition of fresh fruit would be welcome by some. The staff proved agreeable and in particular the woman weekend manager most helpful. My room lacked a bedside reading lamp, I only had to ask & it appeared. Certainly, the staff was client focused; however, they were as frustrated as I was with technology problems they could not resolve. Initially, the wi-fi functioned flawlessly; however, subsequently it became unreliable on two late afternoons at particularly critical times for me. While the rooms are a wee bit tired, those at the back, away from the considerable night traffic noise, are agreeable. Shower fittings and enclosures require repair/replacement.

I had a single room overlooking the train station which was a bonus. However the shower area was damp with flaking paint in the corners of the room. Staff were excellent and breakfast more than adequate, I would come back but prefer a different room, good value, good location.

In terms of decor, the hotel could benefit from redecoration as it is rather tired looking. However, we received a warm welcome from the guy at Reception who was friendly and helpful - pointing out useful information on a street map. The location directly opposite the railway station and round the corner from the bus station was ideal, breakfast was included and the stay was good value for money.

Great Locatio
We parked our car right outside the hotel. City was easy to walk from this location. Hotel staff nice. Linens were worn but clean. Good deal for the price.

Hotel desperately needs refurbishment. It is quite a walk from Ortigia. There was no wifi in the room and no minibar. No lift in the hotel. Luckily, the rooms are quite large and the staff are very helpful.

Having smoking room is such a luxury in Europe, without hassle every morning get out for your breakfast cafe n cigarettes Location perfect right in front of train station and just behind bus station To do sightseeing by walk Check in was prompt and very accomodative David assist us kindly Breakfast was simple but very good For very reasonable price You've got nearly everything we want in hotel criteria Wifi did not reach room Hotel condition basic and simple But for the price we've paid Such a great bargain I would recommend for Siracusa We would like to thank Enzo, excellent assistance helping us sorted out problem refund from previous hotel due to misscharge Struggling with our italian on phone He was pro-active approaching us and settled everything Volonturaly Enzo You're The Best!!

reasonable hotel very close to railway station & bus depot. good for 1 night stay if travelling by train / bus. we found it a bit noisy - traffic out front / buses out back (until 11pm) area is typical of most train/bus station locations in towns/cities. staff very friendly & helpful. in between old town & greek theatre ruins - both with in walking (20 minutes) distance. good local sicilian restaurants within 10 minutes walk.

Good location and value.
Very conveniently located across from the train station and around the corner from the bus station, this hotel was very comfortable. Rooms have AC and the breakfast was quite adequate. It's a bit of a walk to reach Ortigia or some attractions in the other part of town but a network of inexpensive busses take you just about anywhere. I would have expected to pay a lot more for what I got; excellent value.

Great location and value
The hotel Como is in an excellent location. It faces the train station, and the bus station is right around the corner. The hotel itself is pretty good, but the staff are fantastic! They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We really wanted to stay in Ortigia but hotel prices were significantly higher, this hotel is a perfect alternative. Shuttles to Ortigia stop around the corner, and taking a day trip to Noto or Ragusa are easy with the train station right there.
