“Incredibly helpful staff”

Fabulous location - minutes from old town. Much quieter and less expensive restaurants and shopping than old town. For excellent Swedish cuisine try Blu Dorren just steps from hotel. Also, great buffet breakfast included with room. Only complaint - tiny room size. Would go back in a heartbeat!

“A Room with a View”

I had a room on the fourth floor of the general room selection and it was AMAZING. I had the most incredible view of Gamla Stan, the old city of Stockholm. The room and bathroom were incredible...soft downy comforter, a big screen TV, a minibar, and a marble bathroom. And as a huge fan of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series, I got a bit of a kick out of staying in a hotel where the fictional Blomkvist and Berger stayed. Not to mention, you're right next to Gögatan where the headquarters of Millennium are located in the book series. So, if you're also a Larsson fan, this location is an added bonus. The hotel could not be better located. You can walk to Gamla Stan in less than ten minutes, you can take a boat from Slussen to the archipelago, and you can hop on the Tunnelbana and be anywhere in twenty minutes, even the last stop on a line. Amazing food in the area: very near the restaurant Kvarnen, which was a haunt of Lisbeth Salander from the Larsson books. The hotel has an included breakfast and it's one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Black out curtains for when it doesn't get dark at night (the sun doesn't set till 11 PM in the summer...and then it rises 3 hours later...). Free wifi. I can go on and on...and I would absolutely stay here again! 10/10.

Area recommendations

Slussen: central location, amazing restaurants, excellent access to the ports, excellent access to the old city Gamla Stan (but you're not in it so you don't have to deal with all the tourist noise), and excellent public transportation.

Getting around

Around town: Tunnelbana, all the way. The buses are good, too, but the tunnelbana is very clean, safe, fast, and efficient. Getting in from the airport: Arlanda Express. It's more expensive than a bus, but less expensive than a cab and it takes under twenty minutes to make the full journey. The train goes over 200 km per hour! It's cool.

Shopping

The area around the Central Station is great for shopping. H&M has incredible deals...I got 6 outfits at what would be about 10 Euros a piece...and they're beautiful!

Dining

Kvarnen. Great restaurant. Must go. Especially if you like the Stieg Larsson books.

Outdoors or beach

You must go to the archipelago! You don't have to go that far out, either--just the first couple of islands, and you can make the trip from Slussen. Bring a picnic or eat out there. Some cute little shops, beautiful views, and lots of birds!

“Excellent hotel with very convenient location”

Hilton Slussen is a beautiful hotel full service five stars, rooms in new building on the smaller size furthermore a very comfortable bathroom, breakfast buffet was very impressive

Area recommendations

GamlaStan just 5 mihutes walk over the short bridge is beautiful old town, the walk between the hotel and skansen is a beautiful way to get acquainted with the city approx 25 mins worth every one!!! Stockholm and the entire Scandinavia can be pricey just forget about it and enjoy your vacation after all remember you chose to visit there.

“Convenience with a view”

Our short stay here did not disappoint. The room was amazing, the staff courteous and efficient, everything was clean,comfortable and I only wish we were able to stay longer. Well done!

“Good choice to stay”

Good choice to stay in Stockholm city center... 2 min. walk away from one of the main subway station. Old City is 10 min. walk away. Central station is just 2 stop from hotel. Beatiful channel & Stockholm view from restaurant and some of the rooms... Excellent breakfast for an European Hotel If you are looking for luxury, please lower your expectations... These comment are for Turkish people: Do not expect luxury according to Hiltons in Turkey, it seems like a good hotel in Taksim Talimhane...

Area recommendations

For April due to weather conditions: Old City Gamla Stan Aqua Museum (small but superb and colorful), Army Museum, Vasa Museum (a museum for +300 years old battle ship in very good conditions), Royal Palace (esp. Royal Armoury), Hallwyl Collection (to see real more than 100 hundred years old house, furnitures, and life style). Skansen may not be a good choice for April, some of the activities are closed...

“Great location”

Situated just next to the Slussen tunnelbana station, it is very easy to get to places from here. Also the old town is just a walk away. Right next to the hotel is also Kolingsborg nightclub, I recommend.
