“Convienient location walk to central train”
Good central location, average rooms, disappointing breakfast buffet, 24 hour mcdonalds around corner was much better for breakfast. cheap ride to central train station.
“Good Location ! Good value for Stockholm!”
good location, fun interior and friendly staff ! Room was very small, but there so much to do in Stockholm it was a great place to crash ! Nice breakfast too !
“Great value in Stockholm’s city centre!”
We stayed at the Crystal Plaza for 13 nights. It is centrally located in the Stureplan/Östermalm section of Stockholm, about a 6-7 minute walk from the nearest Metro station. The rooms are clean and comfortable. As per the advice of other reviewers, we requested a room facing the back and higher in the building (this was recommended because of noise from the street.) We were given a room on the 6th floor, which was very quiet, and we slept well. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of cereals, bread, cheese, eggs, etc. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. One downside was the intermittent behaviour of the wireless Internet. Usually it was fine during the day, but many evenings it would disconnect and reconnect at unpredictable times. A call to the front desk always fixed this -- they said they would "reset" it, and a few minutes later the problems went away. For those who do not depend on Internet access when traveling, this may not be a factor. We do, and thus we mention it. It was more of an annoyance than a real problem. Other than the Internet, the value for the price we paid was well worth it. Hotels are not cheap in Stockholm, and the Crystal Plaza is a good deal. We would stay at this hotel again, and we recommend it to others.
“Hidden jewel”
Great location. Staff is very nice. Single room is small but very efficient + clean and really quiet.
“Horrible room, bad service”
The location of the room on the 1st floor was awful, with a high window that meant people outside could look in on you. The room was not very clean, and the bathroom had clearly been cleaned in a hurry. As for the service, some of the people who worked there were nice some were not. When I checked in, the person behind the desk seemed impatient to get things over with so she could deal with the next person in line, and hence, was not very receptive to some of the questions I had. I never write reviews, as I'm usually an easy going person, and it takes a lot for me to be dissatisfied enough to actually spend the time to write a bad review! Overall, this was one of the worse hotels I've stayed in given the price, and I will not be going back anytime soon.
“LOVED STOCKHOLM/ 3 in a room”
We arrived at 8:00 a.m. We had just gotten off a 12 hour flight from Nevada. We were exhausted. The young lady at the front desk let us check into our room immediately instead of the usual 2:00 p.m. check-in. This made a huge difference since we needed to sleep and adjust to the jet lag. This was one of the few hotels in Stockholm that allowed three people to a room. This is why we chose this hotel since we had our teenager with us. They have no bellman to help with baggage or baggage carts to carry luggage. Also, the restaurant in the lobby is closed for lunch and dinner during the summer. The complimentary breakfast was great!
“Everything fine but fire the cleaning staff”
There was a lot about this hotel to like--the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the computer in the lobby, the (relative for Stockholm) spaciousness and comfort of the room, the breakfast buffet (although the inclusion of a Chinese dish baffles me). And I asked for and received a quiet room since the area is notoriously noisy at night. I also appreciated having a small armchair for tv watching. Often rooms in this price range only have a desk chair--not conducive to catching Rapport. But I don't think my room was vacuumed once during my five-night stay--the same crumbs and long black hairs (I'm a blond) were there from check-in to check-out.
“Well located”
Very well located. Friendy personnel.
“Good deal”
Good hotel in excellent central location. First class buffet breakfast included.
“Great hotel and close to everything in Stockholm.”
Many who have reviewed this hotel complain about the room size. We were luckey to get upgraded to room 303 which is a turret room. Fantistic room and almoet a mini suite.
