“Clean and Comfortable Hotel”
Great place to stay in State College, good location, great service, very clean, super service at check-in.
“much nicer than expected”
This was a really nice surprise. 24-hour coffee/latte/expresso machine in the lobby, nice restraunt, extremely comfortable beds, excellent room features.
“Clean, comfortable and convenient”
Have stayed at this hotel ~6 times now. Every time, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the proximity to Penn State University is great. I have also eaten at the breakfast buffet. It is a bit pricy, but well worth the money. The food is all so tasty and deliciously prepared. Would definitely splurge for the breakfast if you have the time.
“just what we needed”
great hotel, great location. Couldn't walk to Penn St. but really close and found good parking.
“Nice hotel and great location”
The hotel is very nice and the location to Penn State is great!! Our room was on the first floor (which in on the ground floor of this hotel) and directly across from the pool/hot tub. The lobby is actually located on the second floor. We did like our room location. We normally stay at the Residence Inn, but they were booked. These rooms are much smaller, but nice.
“Great place to stay”
This is a wonderful place to stay - the rooms are clean, spacious and comfotable. The hotel is close to downtown yet nice and quiet. All of the amenitits are wonderful - pool, spa, etc. We would definitely stay there again.
“Good, overall choice for visting colleges in the area.”
I was overall very pleased with my hotel experience at the HIlton Garden Inn at State College. I thought the Inn was attractive, comfortable, convenient in terms of location and I thought the staff were more than just pleasant, they were very helpful and went out of their way to be accomodating. The room was pleasant and comfortable. My only reservation was the cleanliness after the first day. Whoever cleaned could have picked up used glasses, trash, etc. The food could have been better. I would have liked eggs that were not so dry. Many of the offerings seemed overcooked. Also, I would have liked more fresh fruit on the menu and a more interesting menu - offerings such as Eggs Benedict. However, I would go back to this hotel given the overall positive exprerience I had.
“I would recommend to others.”
The only problem we had was that our shower walls had hair on it from the previous guests and there was a half used water bottle left under the bed. It needed to be checked over better for cleanliness. Other than that we were satisfied with staff and enjoy the wonderful buffet breakfast.
“Love ya SC Hilton”
This place understands detail. I just finished a two-night stay and was very pleased. They obviously understand how important the little things are for comfort--e.g. very soft towels, quality toiletries, fridge/microwave/coffee brewer, free/good internet, morning paper, etc.--you know, the things that make you feel pampered. I never made it to the pool/hot tub. I recommend it unequivocally.
“RecruiterPTL”
This was a business trip and I was very pleased with my stay. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean, WiFi connected with no issues, and the onsite restaurant was good. I would definitely stay here again!
