Lookup the area before you go and try to arrive in the daylight. Felt very unsafe taking my dog to the bathroom and had empty bottles of lotion as samples. Check in was great and very nice staff. Would skip if you have kiddos or dogs

I really liked that it was a short walk to the Bing Theatre. I saw a great show. Shower was super, however my room had a smell that was overpowering. I don't know what it was, and the other guests were a bit loud.

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and had all the necessary equipment—heater/A/C, microwave, small refrigerator with a separate freezer, coffeemaker with coffee pods, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, Kleenex included in the bathroom, an extra blanket. Those little extras make a trip more comfortable. Thanks for a safe and comfortable place to stay!

I liked the touch of providing ear plugs because of the train tracks. (I dont mind the train noise) as a female traveling alone and very late and early hours i felt very comfortable and safe, in my room and parking areas. I would definitely stay here again.

Decent hotel close to downtown for cheap. Keep in mind it’s right next to train tracks that are very active all night so if you are a light sleeper maybe reconsider. The beds were pretty comfortable otherwise. Staff was friendly and nice!

This property looks much better in the pictures. It’s right next to the train overpass. It’s SO loud & our comforter was really dirty.

I wanted you to know I did send a message to the Housekeeping Manager regarding your issue with the comforter. In the future, please call the Front Desk for assistance. The unit was very clean, however the hotel is in the very center of town with a number of vagrants and panhandlers. Someone should have shared that the adjacent wall was one of the towns many railroad overpasses

Honestly it was so calm it was a vintage stay for me, I wanted something nice but historical and near the knitting factory and I was so happy with what I explored 🙌

A terrible place we waited around 1 hour to be checked in because their printer was broke and no one there to fix it until the service person showed in. This place should never have been called a Hotel, it is a Motel. Never Again

Hi Mark, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Yes, we are next to the tracks and the actual Steam Plant which yes, is located next to the railway. I found it interesting to learn the Steam Plant powered downtown Spokane from 1916 to 1986 so of course, the proximity of the hotel near the tracks is indicative of the need to be near the tracks for commerce. Look, if you are bougie, do not stay here. We stayed here one night because the Davenport did not have availability until the next day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property just seems suspect but it was fine. I’m bougie so I probably won’t be back. :). Be blessed everyone

The reviews on this property seem to be either love it or hate it. My kids loved the cool old vibes and that they showed the old Popeye movie on the building wall at night. We love that we could walk to pretty much everything including our basketball games at the nearby high school. Food, riverfront, movies, downtown area all walking distance. They’ve updated the rooms, but cleaning needs to improve. Hair all over bathroom floor and toothpaste on sink faucet was pretty gross. Breakfast was basic, but adequate and staff was super friendly. Train seems to ba a complaint but honestly we didn’t even notice it at night. Homeless people kick around from time to time but we didn’t feel unsafe. Parking was well lit and felt secure. Given the opportunity we would definitely stay again.

Very loud all night. Train goes by multiple times in the night. They did provide ear plugs. I forgot a phone charger and they had one I was able to borrow.

Check in was bit of a problem due to printer issues. There were few of us just waiting patiently for at least 20-30 mins. No apology. Customer service at the check in was not so nice. But then she’s also very young. So that’s there too. Why are they even using laser printer that’s worst than people’s home printer!! Seriously. And breakfast wasn’t what we expected. Quite sad to be honest. Might as well say. First come first serve. There were pretty much gone around 9:10am when it ends at 9:30am. No one comes to check and refill. Rooms were clean enough but not much counter space, I was using the iron board as one. There weren’t many outlet to plug things. So bring extension if you’re staying at this hotel.

Do not stay here unless you are deaf. The hotel provides ear plugs as an indication of the noise volume. The trains are on the other side of the parking lot and run several times an hour, but worse the walls are so paper thin you can hear your neighbor peeing. The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was well stocked, but the hotel is no more than two stars at its cleanest.
