"Great hotel and great staff with lovely Swedish traditional breakfast. Oldest hotel in Gothenberg but in very good shape. Construction was ongoing at properties around the hotel making for some noise and inconvenience but other than that the stay was a 10!"

Unfortunately, we visited Gothenburg during an exceptionally hot few days and the room did not have an AC unit. The room safe was also locked so we were not able to use it. Additionally, the shared nespresso machine for the floor had mold in its water tank so we did not use it."

"Wonderful hotel in a great location just down the street from Kalmar Castle and the train station. Shops and restaurants within a five minute walk. Room was clean, comfortable, cozy, and nicely appointed. Warm breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly and hospitable. I can’t emphasize enough how welcoming the staff was. I will definitely be staying at Slottshottelet next time I visit Kalmar. It truly felt like a home away from home."
