"We booked the Amora Hotel just a few days before our stay. The room was spacious and clean for our family of four we only wish we had an ocean view but unfortunately all those rooms were booked due to our late booking. The pool is heated. "We liked the property. It was close to the ocean and hearing the ocean rise and fall was wonderful for sleeping and meditation. I did not like being placed on the 20th floor of the hotel. I'm aversive to heights. The room was fine and we had a partial view of the ocean. But we also had a good view of the favela bored into the mountainside behind the hotel. The favelas are unfortunate living areas of the poor and dispossessed, and this bothered me somewhat. The food was great. The restaurants took care of us nicely and the concierge was wonderful in answering all of our questions. "
