“I will definitly consider returning next year.”
Plesently surprised with the room, aside from an over, it was a full kitchen. Very impressed all around.
“One of the nicest I've stayed in!”
We picked this hotel because it said it was within walking distance to Notre Dame Stadium. However, we would strongly advise you to not walk from the hotel. We were amazed with how nice the hotel room was. We felt like we could have stayed there forever! I also liked that the hotel did not require you a Friday and Saturday night stay on football weekend. I travel a lot for work and this was by far one of the nicest hotels that I’ve stayed at. The continental breakfast in the morning was great too!
“An excellent place to stay if you are visiting Notre Dame University.”
The staff at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. The hotel was less than 10 minutes from the University. There were numerous restaurants in the area. It was a very nice area of town. Felt very safe. The room was very clean and the complementary breakfast was very good. All in all, I would stay there again. Had a good nights sleep.
“New!”
When we arrived the hotel staff person gave us an upgrade because we had our 2 teenage sons with us. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with a king bed and bath in one room, a sitting room with full kitchen and then another room with 2 queen beds and bath. Everything was very nice and new. Beds were very comfortable and the black out curtains did their job. Breakfast was awesome with many hot or cold choices. We did not use the pool. The location is fine right near the toll road and a short drive to Notre Dame or downtown South Bend. We would definitely stay here again.
“very pleasant”
The staff was very friendly , and the room was yery nice and clean. I would stay again, I was in town from ohio to visit my kids and grandkids for christmas. the complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise.a very nice place to stay.
“great place”
Clean and attractive...great fridge and little cooking area for staying in if you want. Within 10 minutes of Notre Dame.
“Go For it!”
We took a chance on a hotel that we hadn't heard of but we were pleasantly suprised and will not hesitate to go back to this hotel or another one at a different location. Breakfast was awesome and the convenience of the kitchenette was great, even though we didn't end up using it on the short trip we took.
“Not within walking distance of Notre Dame FCU”
The only thing I would say that is negative is that the title is Staybridge Suites - University area and it is definitely not near Notre Dame FCU. So I didn't get to stay in bookstore or sit in the dome because I didn't have a car. I selected the hotel because in the title it clearly indicated it was near the University.
“Clean, comfortable and professional staff”
The room, actually a suite, was very comfortable and stylish. The Staybridge is really an extended stay property so every room has a kitchen and sitting area. We stayed for the Notre Dame/USC football game and had a pleasant weekend. The room was very clean and I rated the comfort of the room a "5" but there were only two towels for two people, it would have been nice to have more in the room without having to call. The front office staff, notably, Seth, was very helpful and professional, he could not have been nicer. There was a shuttle that came by to take guests to the stadium, so we did not have to rent a car. The breakfast in the morning was great: eggs, bacon/sausage, pancakes to order, waffles, toast, cereal, you name it. The breakfast room staff could NOT have been more helpful and friendly. All in all, a great experience at the Stayvbridge, but for the fact that Notre Dame lost to USC.
“A little better than average for South Bend, Indiana”
I recently stayed at the hotel for a Notre Dame football weekend. First of all, the price hikes for all hotels in the area is way out of proportion. I stayed at Peninsula in downtown Chicago the night before for the same price! I guess the hotels have to make money while they can as not much else is going on the rest of the year. As for the hotel, it is clean, new and the breakfast buffet looked very good (no dark roast coffee for you coffee lovers), though I did not eat the food there. The suite that I stayed in was spacious and functional. The bed however left both my wife and I with sore backs. They have an odd policy of no maid service on weekends so you have to get towels at the front desk. For the price that we paid, I would at least expect maid service. Next time I plan to go to Notre Dame, we go once a year, I will seek out another competitor in this price range as I don't feel that the Staybridge provided anything that would separate them from their competition.
