not near beach and five flights of stairs to flat
the lady who ran the hotel was very nice very kind and helpful was dissapointed with the venue for the money that was charged also with the shuttle service from to and from airport the one driver on the way to sorrento got stop by police whilst driving one hand on wheel and on phone going around a bend and up a hill we were held up for ages on the bus with no air condition and late getting to our destination will not be using expedia again and will not reccomend this company to friends or relitives

Excellent location , close to Piazza Tasso
Good location right by Piazza Tasso. Rooms very clean but basic . Manager was very friendly.( email or call her to let her know your arrival time as it’s not run with a 24 hour reception). I had the room by reception on the ground floor and it was huge and the air conditioning was excellent. Because the hotel is situated up an alley you don’t get too much noise from the streets. Unfortunately, there were no windows in the room to look out of which made you feel isolated..... the window started 10ft up the wall and you opened it by pressing an electric button as there was no way to reach it ! . I didn’t spend much time in the room as I was out sight seeing everyday but this would have been a real issue had I’d been going back on the afternoons for siestas . I did feel “locked in “once the door was closed.

Great Location, Great Price With Lots of Room!
The Sorrento Town Suites provided me and my family the extra room we needed for the weekend. We loved the location - right close to the center of downtown Sorrento. I would highly recommend the Sorrento Town Suites for any traveler wanting a nice place to stay in Sorrento.

Hotel conveniently located, check in was fast and efficient, room clean. I wish the room had better lighting. Additionally, the beds were super uncomfortable. Feels like I was sleeping on the box spring :( A small kitchenette included cups, plates n utensils. If u use you have to wash otherwise charge you 5 euro which is reasonable but then they charge you a nominal fee (I think it was 1.50 euro) for using the dish soap n sponge. Really??? Must they nickel n dime me like this???

The hotel location is excellent but difficult to find I don't know why it's not the right address on google maps .. the staff is ok but the room is so humid , we had to open the windows to breath , the hot water stopped to work after 10mn using, the bed uncorfortable too. Ah another thing we was not supposed to stay in the room they gave us (our room was supposed to be on the first floor and bigger and they gave us a 4th floor room with no elevator) but as we had a great terrace up we didn't say anything :)))

Good, clean, safe and affordable place to stay!
We stayed two nights in the upper unit that had a wonderful terrace. Good location on quiet street a couple blocks from the main square. Kitchen allowed us to prepare some food. Breakfast was basic and consisted of packaged snacks and instant coffee and tea.The bathroom was fine, although shower is small. Heating unit did a good job on a couple of cold nights. We would definitely stay there again if returning to Sorrento.

Lovely apartment in the centre on Sorrento
The owner went above and beyond. My son has coeliac disease and when I told her she went out and bought lots of gluten free foods for him to have for breakfast. The room was cleaned daily to a good standard with fresh towels. Perfect location for a stay in Sorrento.

Very spacious room
We had the room on the top floor, it was the whole top floor of he hotel with a huge balcony. The room was up quite a few steps, but worth the walk! The owner let us check in at 1030am and she brought the breakfast to the room in the morning. I wish we could've stayed longer because it was a mini apartment with a fridge, stove, all utensils and plates. The only bad thing was the shower was very small, once you closed the curtains there was no room to bend or hardly move. But it was a fantastic place and right in the heart of sorrento, I would definitely recommend.

The hotel was a little hard to find but with some help, we were able to find it. It's right in the heart of everything. The cleaning service was amazing! They do a great job with keeping everything clean. The only thing I'd have to say is that the walls can be thin when it comes to your neighbors clinging things around. We couldn't hear them talk or anything like that. The people next to use were leaving early in the morning and you can hear everything they're doing then the cleaning lady cleaned after them and you can hear everything she did.

Fabulous Location in the heart of Sorrento
The hotel is in the heart of Sorrento, just off Piazza Tasso and even though right in the Centre, it was in a very quiet side street location. We had a warm welcome by a helpful lady called Rossana who met us from our Taxi in the Piazza. You have everything you need in the Town Suites, we particulary liked having a small kitchenette area to make your own tea, coffee and snacks. Overall the apartment was clean. There was a small balcony with table and chairs which was lovely to sit at in the sunshine. It was a perfect base for exploring and we were out for most days every day, so spent very little time in the hotel room. The beds were pretty hard, although this didn't bother me too much. The breakfast was very basic but I didn't expect much for the price (a cup of coffee, a pastry/ cake, some melba toast and jam). Overall I thought the hotel was excellent value for money and I would stay here again, however, if you want a comfy (fairly soft) bed and more than just a pastry at breakfast, this is probably not the best choice for you. I also recommend booking your taxi transfers via Rosanna at the hotel, as this was cheaper for me than other internet options I had looked at.

Disappointing honeymoon
We were given the ground floor room with no proper window - the "window" which was frosted and positioned very high in the room seemed to open into a restaurant which streamed light into the room until 3am! The room also smelled very damp. The owner, acknowledging that it was a rubbish room offered us the option to move to a "better" room for 4 nights but we'd have to come back to the bad room. To be fair the "better" room was indeed a bit better, with a balcony (weird view of restaurant though) but there was a leak which made balcony useless. Given that all the rooms are the same price we were very upset to be treated like this, especially since we were on our honeymoon and believed we'd booked a room similar to the "better" room as advertised. Also, being served the same brioche and coffee every morning was very monotonous. In the end we moved hotels for the last 2 nights of the holiday - the new hotel (The Carlton International) was excellent, and even upgraded us to a room with a perfect view of the bay of naples.

Nice area, hard to find hotel, rooms not very clean and hard beds. Room was nice, we asked for a balcony and we really enjoyed the little porch with table and chairs overlooking a restaurant. We had drinks and pastries out there every night while listening to the live music from the restaurant (have to ask for the balcony). They bring a nice brioche and cappuccino for you in the morning. If you want two beds you will have to put it in writing when you book (clicking the button on the website doesn't count). Walking distance to train, if no one is there hit the intercom button and it will ring to the managers cell phone. Very thin walls, could hear the other rooms conversations. Overall a great town, loved the monalisa restaurant downtown (cheese filled gnocchi pillows to die for).

I would stay here again.
Rossana, the manager, accommodated our late arrival, which was prefect. We had to ask locals for directions when we first looked for Sorrento Town Suites, as the small street is easy to miss. Our place was super clean and spacious, it had a balcony. Coffee and breakfast was brought to our room and it was good. We had hot water, air conditioning and a safe. Although we had to log in often, Internet was ok. The place is close to tourist centre, yet it was quiet at night. There are lots of yummy restaurants near by. We felt really safe here, not like in Rome. We used this place as a centre to visit Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius, and Capri. We needed more time here to visit Amalfi coast! There is a restaurant terrace across our second floor balcony, so our privacy was retained only when curtains were drawn. We made friends with Mario, this restaurant owner. Mario supplied us with wine late into one night. His restaurant patrons came in for dinner but did not stay too late, so overall privacy was not an issue. I would stay here again. Book early.

Really enjoyed our night in sorrento! Hotel was in a great location and the room opened out to a balcony of the mountains and restaurant behind. Restaurant was delicious by the way. Very spacious room but bathrooms could be updated with better showers as the sliding door was broken and had a bit of mildew. All a bit of italian charm I guess. Staff very helpful and even changed our room when first room had toilet issues. would stay again as so central and reasonably priced.

Shares a wall with a gym...
This hotel is down a small dark alley but it is actually pretty close to the main drag, train station, port etc. It is more like a B&B though because there is never any staff inside the 'hotel'. Our room was on the ground floor and backed up against a gym, so each morning we woke up to blaring techno workout music (which continues all day). There was also a very right light right out side our only window. Main table in the room had a bunch of moldy fruit so probably isn't cleaned very often. Saving grace is there is a very nice family restaurant directly next door that we had a great meal at. Overall I would not stay here again.

First time in Italy ..
We actually really liked this place, the location could not have been better .. at least for us. It was so close to everything. Our only complaint would be the rock hard bed .. however, maybe all beds are like that in Italy - my first trip? Regardless we were quite happy with the Sorrento Town Suite and would stay there again.

Fine place to stay in Sorrento
I stayed at this hotel with my wife and daughter in March before the busy season. Upon our evening arrival, we found no-one at the hotel and another couple waiting. They had already asked someone at a neighboring restaurant to call so we only had to wait about 5 - 10 minutes before someone came to let us in and check in. The room was clean and pretty large and it included a small kitchen. WiFi was provided through a local public WiFi company and the code they provided also worked at other placed around town. We never found English channels on the TV. The breakfast delivered to the room at 8:00 AM was a fine wake up call but we still went to eat elsewhere. The main window in the room overlooked a restaurant and when the restaurant was open we felt we had to close the window and shutters for privacy.

The manager was great and very kind. As a USA citizen I would of liked a tv station available in english. Also the hotwater was really too hot....but overall a nice place to stay. And also a great restaurant next door....it was pouring one night and the owner of the restaurant made us feel so welcomed.

What you get in location, you lose in comfort
You can't really beat STS for location unless you stay at one of the really expensive four-stars overlooking the harbor. STS is just a few minutes' walk from the train/bus station. And it's set back about half a block from the main square, which is both convenient and quiet. And each room has a balcony overlooking a restaurant garden in the heart of this medieval town. However, for the price, you can probably find a more comfortable location just outside Sorrento in Massa Lubrense. We found showers to be really small and beds to be fairly uncomfortable throughout Campania, but STS was by far the hardest to get used to. The room has A/C, but the electricity turns off when you leave the building. STS serves a minimal breakfast, but you can find better cappucinos elsewhere. We also had lots of ants in our shower, kitchen, and balcony, and they seemed to like our breakfast more than we did. The staff were helpful and knew some English, but did not work in the afternoons or evenings, so plan accordingly.

Do not stay here
The reason I rated the cleanliness so badly was because the bathroom has a lot of mold. The shower doors, the ceiling above the bathroom, the walls, it is awful. The shower is so tiny that a regular sized person (5'5 and 140 lbs) cannot have a shower in it without having at least part of the body outside. This results in the bathroom getting wet. The towels and the every day cleaning service is good. The clerks also did not tell us that they only accept payment in cash and they told us this 1 hour before we were going to leave. The person that we saw the most does not speak English. We had to do an emergency run to the bank and if you have been to Sorrento, many of the ATMs are out of cash during the tourist season because everyone is getting cash, so that was a bit stressful as well. The breakfast is horrible. It is cold coffee and tea and a lemon bun. Needless to say we will never stay at this place again.

Location, location, location
Overall we liked this hotel. First, it’s located on small and quiet street. In less than one hundred yards from central square and less than 20 yards from main streets. The room was spacious and clean. Since this hotel, I would say inn, is small you have your breakfast delivered to your room. And one more good thing about this hotel. The cost is very reasonable.

Sorrento Town Suites - Excellent Location!
We found The Sorrento Town Suites comfortable and pleasing for our five night stay. Silvana - the Hotel Manager is lovely. Any time we needed her, she was quick to get back to us in order to assist us. Luiga the maid is also very nice - she brought our breakfast up at exactly the requested time. Breakfast is simple - a sweet bread roll, butter, jam, cake, biscuits, coffee and oranges for you squeeze for fresh juice! The hotel location is absolutely wonderful - just a minute down the alley-way to the shops and restaurants. The rail and bus station is close by and the cost for travel is very reasonable! Also, do try Mario's restaurant right next door - I Giardini di Tasso! The food is delicious and very reasonable! Mario's is so nice - he personally showed us around his historic garden where an excavated Roman viaduct dates back to 90 BC! Perhaps the only disappointing thing was that we could not pick up wifi. The hotel charges €5 per day - but we just could not get a connection! The problem was resolved by using an Internet bar just a couple of minutes' walk away!

Great location!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The quiet back alley was close to the center of town, and we loved the restaurant that was behind the hotel. We liked the small breakfast that was delovered to our room each morning. The room was small, but we were almost never in it since there was so much to see and do in the beautiful town of Sorrento.

We had a wonderful stay.
The room was nice and very convenient. Breakfast was delivered to our room at the time we requested each day. The only drawback for us was that the bed was lumpy. This may not be the case in every room and it would not keep us from recommending the hotel or staying there again.

What a great room and location! What a terrible bed!! Bed was so hard and had springs poking me all night. One change makes this a really great review. The room was huge with a great big patio and view but nothing can make up for not getting a restful sleep.

Excellent location at a decent price
Upon arrival the person at check-in told us all about the surrounding area and had some good tips. As we had the top appartment, our balcony was massive and had a great view. The main downside was the breakfast; this was delivered to your room at a time chosen by you. Unfortunately, this pretty much consisted of two croissants, dry toast and marmelade/jam every day, and luke warm coffee. Other than that, no complaints at all. A great place to stay in Sorrento.

Myself and my wife enjoyed a lovely time in Sorrento and the location was just next to the main street. The room was spacious, the kitchennette more that adequate and the decor was tasteful.. Breakfast was provided on a daily basis. This will suit any independant holidaymaker who doesn't need a great deal of attention.

When we first arrived we were given a "basement" type room on the first floor which looked nothing like the website photos. After complaining they promised and delivered on a very nice room with balcony three days later. We stayed for a week total.The location was very close to the train station and boat docks which was ideal for day trips.It was also very close to shops and restaurants.
