"Wonderful sea views and short walk into Oban"

"Hmmm ... it was a very nice hotel (in 1965). It has retained some of its characteristics from then until the 90s, but is now a little dated. Location is fine, but with nothing open around it (early May is not peak holiday season) it felt a little isolated. After a 6 hour motorcycle journey, Aviemore itself was just too far away so had to stay in. The evening meal at £25 each felt a bit steep, but the buffet meal was ok. "We came back to Glen Moriston at the end of our trip. We stayed in the newer building and it was great. We had a larger room, recently refurbished. Wide staircase to climb to get to our room. Enjoyed the common area downstairs. Excellent food, wonderful breakfast. Great staff."
