I really want to give this property a high rating. The staff was very hospitable upon arrival, and the location was stunning. The interior was well decorated. Service was excellent overall.
However, the room had three issues. First, storage was sorely lacking, as there were no drawers to store clothes, and the tiny wardrobe closet wasn’t big enough to store our luggage. Second, the “king bed” was actually two twin beds pushed together, which made the center of the bed uncomfortable. Third, the wet bath was poorly designed, and taking a shower resulted in a huge mess on the entire floor.
But the biggest disappointment was the food. As we were exhausted from travel on arrival, we chose the prix fixe dinner, which was mediocre at best. And the free breakfast consisted solely of cold pastries, cheese, ham, and yogurt. There was no fresh fruit or eggs, which is a problem for those with dietary restrictions. And the coffee was the worst we were served in all of Italy.
