Hi Luis, Thank you for leaving a nice review of our hotel. We are a boutique hotel that is locally owned and not part of a chain. We understand the area can seem scary as it's a part of San Juan that has suffered throughout the years. Right now, the neighborhood is growing once again and we know it will be restored back to its glory days

Very scary place to stay. My wife and I got there at night and there was no appeal to the place. Looked broke down and not even open with graffiti on the walls. Very scary at night ans didn't look safe. We immediately left and booked somewhere else. Tried to get a refund and they still charged me even though we didn't feel safe staying. Be very careful booking here maybe looks different during the day definitely not anywhere i would recommend staying.

We are very sorry for your way of thinking. The hotel is located two blocks from the University of Puerto Rico, one block from the police station in front of a church, right next to the urban train, door to door, armed security 24/7, the records of Our Hotel indicate that you neither went or called the hotel, so you had poor planning travel strategy, nothing to do with the hotel. The hotel does not have graffiti. The graffiti are several blocks from the hotel in the urban area that is remodeling and is part of the demonstration of the art of our people. You did not arrive at the hotel and you didn't show yourself to us I see you have some prejudice against the urban and contemporary art that shows our beautiful island, you made a reservation but you did not arrive or call and that room could be rented to another person, but you did not even notice our hotel. The hotel is located in a safe central area and full of art in its surroundings and we also have a staff very kind and professional, I think that if you had communicated I would have explained and helped you with your doubts, thank you for taking your time writing your way of thinking, but it is different from the reality of the beauty that our town in Río Piedras shows us. We would appreciate it if you make reservations, arrive, and ask for advice. Thank

This place is perfect especially for anyone on a budget. It’s cheap but clean and staff are friendly. Hot water, A/C and cleanliness are my favorites. The area the hotel is located seems not so great but I feel safe and definitely was worth it’s would come back again!

This hotel is perfect if you don't spend too much time in a hotel while you're traveling. There are not many businesses in the immediate surrounding area and the majority of surrounding properties are for sale.

Didn't like the location, but decided to stay, no amenities in the room no iron, no hair dryer you had to go down to the desk to be able to use iron, iron was old and dirty burn my clothes with it (no happy about this) lighting in the bathroom is horrible if u work makeup. Some of The staff was nice. Was one guy that make my stay horrible, he was rude and not very helpful . Parking was a bit inconvenience you had to call the staff to open the gate and this maybe take a few min .

I never leave reviews, but please let me help anyone thinking of booking this hotel do it. Just don’t do it! These travel sites have a responsibility to accurately represent these properties and they don’t. First, the pictures look absolutely nothing like the property. The property is in an area that is not tourist friendly, dangerous, and profoundly unsafe. There were no restaurants or activities around. When I initially entered the property, the guy at the front desk did not acknowledge me when I walked in. I literally had to look over the partition and say, ‘Hello!’ He then slid me a piece of paper to fill out and escorted me to my room. There’s no elevator so prepare for walk up several flights of stairs with your luggage. There were two long flights of stairs. Oh, it gets better. To believe I heard people fighting or arguing in the hall, the room was dirty, bugs on the wall, the stench of mold was so overwhelming it caused me to have an asthma attack. It was all too much and absolutely nothing at the same time. As quickly as I checked in, I checked out. Left an hour after checking in. As I informed the agent at the front desk I was checking out, he asked why I was checking out as though he was shocked. I love an intimate boutique hotel, but rest assured, THIS IS NOT THE ONE. I would give this hotel a negative 10 if I could. Because of the misrepresentation, I was forced to pay almost double at the new hotel for safety and peace of mind. Never again.

As you rightly said, you checked in and immediately checked out. You entered the room, got dirty and had to be cleaned by housekeeping staff, there's M&M candy everywhere. You were given a full refund, you left us a bad review without having experienced anything you state and allege. Thank you for letting us know that there are demanding guests. I wish you luck with the next hotel you choose.

Wonderful kind and helpful staff. Facilities were clean and very cute. Its off the beaten path but the train is right next door and ubers are available with between a 6-12 minute wait. Continental breakfast is very simple fare but hits the spot before you go out and enjoy the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.

I am giving a very good review due to the fact that the treatment was excellent, the facility was clean and well maintained. Expect something better than a usual motel 6 or motel 8, if you want fancy you know where to go but if you are looking for good price and nice place, this is it. They have a quiet, clean, well kept traditional and would say historic in a way kind of hotel. Im pretty sure it has its history. I liked the painting of the building which means they try to upgraded it and it does look neat. Another advantage you have with them is they have laundry machine and dryers machine as well you can use with coins. One negative thing, if so, for some could be bad that it does not have an elevator but if you dont need elevator than you are fine it like 3 story building i believe. I want to mention that a downside is the surrounding buildings that are not well kept and most have graffiti makes it feel like not a safe place but i stayed 3 nights and everything is safe, at first had my doubts due to the female taxi driver who give a bad reputation of the area amd it does make you feel unsafe but after speaking with Juan which is the guy who works nights at reception explain everything to me about the safety amd also police station nearby. Even thou there is alot of homeless dont get fooled by that nor by the taxi female that talked bad.. im not gonna say all taxi drivers but the lady i dont know her name but talked very bad about the area. Its quite close to everything.

I was not sure about the area of the hotel at first, but the people were so nice , the area was also nice and we were able to walk to most places we needed to walk to , I loved the fact that I could go across the street for food. The hotel was so cool!! The small and big details made the hotel even better, our room was nice, bathroom was very big!! The room was just enough for two people

The area is a very rough neighborhood. Most of the people there are very friendly & kind. Had a problem once or twice getting an Uber to pick me up as some drivers set the area up as “no pick” especially early morning or evening. The hotel itself was great and as advertised.

Hotel was nice, area around is ok during the day but at night I wouldn’t recommend. Staff were nice and friendly and metro train is not too far which makes transportation convenient.
